Job description

Job Title: Business Process Automation (BPA) Developer
Role Overview
We are seeking a Business Process Automation (BPA) Developer to design, build, and implement automation technology solutions that drive organizational performance. You will be the technical lead for automating complex workflows, acting as the critical bridge between our operational needs and our broader IT architecture.
This role is for an inquisitive developer who thrives on "tinkering" with processes to find a more efficient way to work. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of automation-from analyzing organizational needs and mapping out process improvements to coding, testing, and troubleshooting the final solution. If you have a passion for eliminating manual tasks through robotic process automation (RPA) and database-driven workflows, this is the perfect opportunity to make an immediate impact.
Key Responsibilities
Automation & Development
โ€ข Solution Architecture: Design, code, unit test, and implement robust automation solutions (including RPA) that streamline workflows and increase operational accuracy.
Database & Integration: Manage and develop database-driven applications. Ensure that our automation tools are correctly integrated with enterprise systems and that data integrity is maintained at every step.
โ€ข Troubleshooting & Support: Act as the primary technical liaison during system outages or performance bottlenecks. Perform root-cause analysis and lead the implementation of fixes.
Process Optimization & Strategy
โ€ข Gap Analysis: Review and analyze organizational goals to determine the "future impact" of new technologies on our existing application landscape.
โ€ข Validation & Testing: Lead validation testing for new releases and technology changes, ensuring that all automations are "production-ready" before deployment.
โ€ข Continuous Improvement: Utilize LEAN or Six Sigma principles to evaluate existing manual processes, identifying where automation can deliver the highest ROI.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
โ€ข Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Programming, or a related field (or equivalent certifications).
โ€ข Experience Baseline: 1-3 years of experience developing applications in a corporate, fast-paced environment.
โ€ข Technical Mastery:
oProven experience with Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and VBA development.
oProficiency in SQL/Database Management and general application development.
oAbility to balance development, testing, and "on-call" support roles.
โ€ข Adaptability: Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies on the fly and manage multiple, competing priorities.
Preferred Attributes
โ€ข Hands-on experience with process improvement methodologies (LEAN/Six Sigma).
โ€ข Prior exposure to high-volume operational environments (e.g., automated back-office or high-throughput service centers).
โ€ข A "consultative" personality-someone who can translate a non-technical request from an end-user into a functional technical requirement.
