Job Overview As a Traveling Superintendent , you will be a key leader in the field, responsible for executing complex projects from start to finish. You will oversee the full lifecycle of on‐site construction, including safety, quality, scheduling, workforce management, subcontractor coordination, and customer relationships.
From planning and layout to execution and closeout, you will manage all aspects of tank construction in alignment with contract drawings and DN's high standards. Primary Responsibilities Lead and direct all on‐site construction activities, including supervising crews and subcontractors to ensure safety, quality, and productivity. Interpret contract drawings to guide field execution and oversee critical construction activities, including concrete placement and testing.
Champion DN Tanks' Accident Prevention and Safety Program (APSP), conducting weekly safety inspections and enforcing all policies. Mentor and develop field employees and Assistant Superintendents through hands‐on training and DN resources. Own the quality assurance process, from inspections to punch list completion, ensuring tanks meet DN's high standards.
Manage project schedules, resources, and documentation using Spectrum ERP and Field View platforms. Maintain strong, professional relationships with clients, engineers, inspectors, and vendors, representing DN Tanks with integrity on site. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field, and/or 6+ years of relevant construction experience with proven leadership in field operations.
Experience with line & grade, formwork systems, and large‐scale concrete projects. Strong knowledge of safety regulations, crane operations, and rigging requirements. Proficient with construction technology including iPads, laptops, scheduling software, and ERP systems.
