Job Title: Deployment Lead (Workday Time & Attendance)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and organized Deployment Lead to join our enterprise implementation team. In this role, you will oversee the strategic planning, coordination, and execution of software releases into live production environments, with a primary focus on Workday Time & Attendance modules.
This is a critical leadership role requiring hands-on experience managing Workday deployments and cross-functional technical teams. You will drive deployment strategy, design rollout waves based on readiness data, and lead daily operational syncs across IT, support desks, and business units. Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Wave Planning
• Deployment Strategy: Develop comprehensive deployment strategies, wave definitions, and rollout sequencing for enterprise Workday modules.
• Readiness Analysis: Analyze operational readiness data across locations, business units, and resource availability to design optimized deployment waves.
• Operating Model: Define the end-to-end deployment operating model, including stakeholder communication touchpoints and tier-support alignment.
Operations & Execution
• Daily Operations: Lead daily deployment operations, running standups and coordinating actions across scheduling, field support, and service desk teams.
• Readiness Validation: Validate location, system, and device readiness utilizing dashboard analytics and enterprise tracking tools.
• Master Tracking: Maintain the master deployment tracker, proactively identifying blockers, escalating risks, and adjusting plans based on dynamic resource availability.
Stakeholder Alignment & Reporting
• Business Coordination: Partner closely with business unit leaders to schedule cutovers and minimize operational disruption during go-live phases.
• Performance Reporting: Track deployment KPIs, manage status reporting for project leadership, and document post-rollout metrics and dashboards.
Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Experience Baseline: 5+ years of progressive professional experience in IT project management, software release management, or enterprise system deployments.
• Domain Mastery: Proven hands-on deployment experience with Workday modules (specifically Time & Attendance).
• Technical & Functional Proficiency:
oStrong background in designing deployment waves, rollout strategies, and operational cutover plans.
oExperience utilizing enterprise analytics dashboards and tracking tools to evaluate readiness.
oDeep familiarity with IT service management, ticketing workflows, and end-user support structures.
• Core Competencies: Exceptional cross-functional leadership, verbal/written communication, and problem-solving abilities; ability to maintain composure under pressure during high-stakes go-live windows.
Preferred Attributes
• Formal project management or agile certifications (e.g., PMP, CSM, SAFe).
• Official Workday Implementation Certification in Time & Attendance or related functional areas.
• Experience managing large-scale, multi-region enterprise rollouts.
