Job description

AES Systems, Inc. is seeking a career-minded, full-time, Low-Voltage Technician for Field and Shop Work, who is willing to travel.

We are a Utah-based contractor providing Security Systems and Process Video Systems for clients located in Utah and out-of-state. Our clients include the U.S. Federal Government, the U.S. Military, Industrial sites, Commercial facilities, etc.

Because AES’ contracts vary, technicians can expect a mix of:

· Out-of-state installation and maintenance work

· In-state installation and maintenance work

· Assembling and testing equipment in AES’ Shop (Utah)

Depending on current contracts, out-of-state work may be extensive. Technicians are paid GSA per-diem rates for most out-of-state work. In addition, most out-of-state work includes overtime.

BENEFITS include on-the-job and industry training; health insurance after 30 days; paid time off after 30 days; and a 401K with company match after 30 days of full-time employment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Meet the criteria to pass Federal Security Clearance: US Citizenship and the ability to pass a government background check after being hired.

Additional qualifications: High School graduate, valid US Driver’s license, good driving record, and the ability to pass a background test and a drug test after being hired.

Physical Ability: lift equipment weighing 50 lbs; work on your feet all day; work on ladders and scaffolding; climb stairs; access small spaces to pull wire, etc.

Work Ethic: Show up on time and ready to work; have the ability to work as part of a team; follow instructions quickly and accurately.

Customer Service: professional appearance; interact with clients, co-workers, and partners in a professional manner.

Skills: Willingness to learn; attention to detail; proficiency with hand and power tools; aptitude for learning applications for industry apps; networking experience a plus; cable and wire pulling experience a plus; electrical construction or general construction experience a plus.
