Job description

Direct Support Professional / DSP/ Caregiver
AbleLight (formerly Bethesda) is a nonprofit organization with the belief that the world shines brighter when people with disabilities reach their full potential! We provide life-changing services to support people at every step of their lives - from behavior supports and job coaches, to group homes and shared living sites, to opportunities for higher education through AbleLight College - and SO much more!
We currently have On-Call/Traveling Direct Support Professional positions available at our Group Homes in Littleton and Centennial, CO.
 
The Direct Support Professional is responsible for providing direct support, positive direction, and assistance to the individuals we support of all ages allowing them to be more effective in their everyday lives.
Job Duties:
  • Helping residents with dining, mobility, health, and hygiene activities.
  • Accompanying individuals while running errands.
  • Attending special community occasions and fun activities like outdoor walks, games, and social events.
  • Assisting our individuals in achieving their personal goals and desires.
  • Scheduling doctor’s appointments.

Qualifications/Details:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all training and certifications as required by Federal and State Licensure requirements.
  • Must be able to be on-call.
  • Up to 30 hours per week. (On-Call status)
