Team Description

Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) is the consulting arm of Visa, and drives tangible, impactful results for clients. Drawing on our expertise in consulting, data analytics, technology, payments and economics, VCA solves the most strategic problems for our clients. VCA's core client segments include issuers, acquirers, merchants, fintechs, payment enablers and governments.

This role is focused on supporting Visa's Southwest Community Financial Institution segment, including regional banks and credit unions. The Senior Manager will serve as a strategic advisor to clients operating in highly relationship-driven, resource-constrained environments, helping them grow portfolios, modernize capabilities, and compete effectively in an evolving payments ecosystem.

Clients in this segment often require highly tailored, practical solutions that balance strategic ambition with operational feasibility. This role requires an ability to simplify complex analyses into actionable, right-sized recommendations aligned to client capabilities, infrastructure, and risk tolerance.

Specific Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and actively manage a pipeline of Southwest Community opportunities within an assigned client portfolio, partnering closely with Account Executives and other internal stakeholders to identify, shape, and close engagements.
  • Serve as a primary day-to-day relationship owner for select clients, building trust and proactively identifying opportunities to deliver incremental value.
  • Engage in regular strategic & planning discussions, cultivate and manage a pipeline of analytic work.
  • Translate sold work into structured, executable delivery plans, ensuring clarity of scope, resourcing, timeline, and client expectations.
  • Lead and deliver engagements across key VCA Community solution areas that may include engagement topics like authorization and fraud strategy and optimization, debit and credit portfolio growth, customer acquisition and lifecycle marketing, digital payments and wallet adoption, and small business and commercial growth strategies
  • Own end-to-end accountability for engagements, ensuring both successful commercial outcomes and disciplined delivery aligned to VCA standards.
  • Develop analytical frameworks, approaches, solutions and data-led strategies that address impactful opportunities and challenges.
  • Partner, navigate and align with cross-functional Visa stakeholders in other functional areas (Product, Risk, Marketing, Data Science, Sales, Innovation) to leverage the breadth and depth of Visa's resources to bring scalable capabilities and deliver integrated, client-centric solutions.
  • Produce insights, analyses, and recommendations to improve client performance, boost growth, drive understanding of client issues, and provide strategic mentorship for client priorities.
  • Build new scalable solutions, toolkits, standard methodology documents, and consulting approaches that can be applied across VCA practices.
  • Help provide knowledge sharing, coaching and training to team members as well as across functional teams and or regions.
  • Oversee multiple workstreams + project delivery, meeting objectives and timelines.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
  • Ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of consulting experience and payments background
  • Effectively engage with mid-to-senior level stakeholders at regional banks and credit unions, adapting communication to diverse client sophistication levels and organizational structures.
  • Thrive in a lean, fast-paced environment where team members operate with a high degree of ownership, adaptability, and accountability across both sales and delivery responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate strong prioritization and operational discipline when balancing multiple clients, engagements, and business development activities.
  • Passionate, self-motivated, results-oriented individual with the ability to handle numerous projects concurrently.
  • Knowledge and understanding of banking operations and/or payment schemes, including products & services, business systems and processes, and marketing initiatives.
  • Excellent client relationship management skills and ability to develop a credible point of view on a variety of industry topics, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Strong analytical skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor.
  • Executive presence including excellent communication and presentations skills, written and verbal, and ability to communicate at all levels within large organizations.
  • Demonstrated leadership, managerial and collaboration capabilities, particularly with those who are not direct reports as may be found in a matrixed organization.
  • Experience in several key payments business areas, such as portfolio management, marketing, product management, operations, risk management, for both credit and debit cards.
  • Experience using financial indicators to measure business performance with a significant focus on impacting return on investment.

U.S. Applicants Only

The estimated salary range for this positionis $130,600 to $221,600 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
