Job Summary
Under general supervision, the Security Project Manager (PM) is responsible for executing critical and complex small to large sized security projects. The Security PM will manage the scheduling, pricing, technical performance, and budgets of these projects. Utilizing their skills and knowledge of project management frameworks, the PM ensures that high-quality products are delivered while optimizing costs and maximizing value.
The PM maintains complete transparency regarding the current status of the project, as well as the forecasted and actual costs and delivery timelines. They promote continuous improvement activities at the team level to enhance quality and optimize value delivery. Additionally, the PM provides coordination and effective communication to execute, monitor, control, and close projects in a safe, effective, economical, and risk-balanced manner, ensuring maximum customer satisfaction.
The role also involves developing relationships and effectively communicating with all stakeholders, including internal and external customers, team members, suppliers, contractors, vendors, and industry peers.
**Please note: This position will require at least 30% travel
Job Description
What You'll Do:
  • Project Planning and Coordination:
    • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets for physical security initiatives.
    • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure seamless execution.
  • Risk Assessment:
    • Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend appropriate security measures.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Liaise with stakeholders to understand their requirements, provide updates, and address concerns related to physical security projects.
  • System Implementation:
    • Oversee the installation and integration of physical security systems, including access control, surveillance, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Compliance and Standards:
    • Ensure that all projects comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Training and Support:
    • Provide training to staff on new systems and protocols.
    • Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Reporting and Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports and post-implementation reviews.
  • Working Conditions:
    • Travel is required at least 30% of the time to various states within the territory, which will necessitate overnight stays.
    • While on construction sites, you may be in all kinds of weather, uneven terrain, and on your feet for long periods of time.

What We're Looking For:
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Construction or related field, OR Associate's degree with 2 years' of related business or technical/project management experience OR High School Diploma/GED with 4 years' of related business or technical/project management experience.

Work Experience:
  • Minimum of 4 years' business experience which includes work in one or more of these areas: project estimating, project controls, construction field experience, and/or comparable external experience in addition to any educational experience identified above.

Preferred Experience and Certifications:
  • PMP for traditional waterfall project managers
  • PSM (Scrum.org) or CSM (ScrumAlliance) for Agile Scrum
  • Experience with some project types (e.g., in-house development, vendor, construction)
  • Promotes continuous improvement within the project team
  • Communicate effectively with peers, business partners, and lower-level management
  • OSHA 30 Certification (Will get certified if not already)
  • 3-5 years of prior construction project management experience
