Job description

Job Summary:
Torc Robotics is a leader in autonomous driving technology focused on developing software for automated trucks. The Technical Product Manager for Autonomy will prioritize work for Autonomy Software development teams, manage backlogs, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery against corporate milestones.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as a primary representative planning work for Autonomy Software development teams to deliver against corporate milestones.
• Prioritize asks across short term and long-term programs to develop a plan for autonomy teams to deliver.
• Manage a backlog for multiple teams, partnering with engineering managers and directors to deliver against program goals.
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to proactively unblock engineering teams from delivering on their goals.
• Leverage best practices in program management to drive execution on a roadmap, including its dependencies, risks, and changes.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 4+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Technical Product Manager, or Technical Program Manager in autonomous vehicles, robotics, automotive, or similar industries.
• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM related technical field plus demonstrates competences and technical proficiencies typically acquired through 4+ years of experience OR;
• Master’s Degree in STEM related technical field plus demonstrates competences and technical proficiencies typically acquired through 2+ years of experience
• A strong track record of delivering outcomes and driving execution through successful cross-functional programs between technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience managing a cross-functional roadmap, including the dependencies, risks, and change management of that roadmap
• Strong active listening, negotiation, and prioritization skills
• Ability to provide clear, well-structured, and concise communications tailored to different audiences
• The desire to grow your technical and program skillsets in an ever-evolving industry
• Experience with project management and collaboration tools, including Jira for project management, Confluence for documentation, and tools for brainstorming and visual collaboration, such as Miro
Preferred:
• Experience in the Autonomous Vehicle industry
• Experience synthesizing technical engineering deliverables to non-technical stakeholders to report on progress
