Job Summary:
Torc Robotics is a leader in autonomous vehicle technology, focusing on developing software for automated trucks. They are seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to lead Requirements and Safety workstreams, ensuring alignment between engineering and safety needs while managing timelines, dependencies, and risks.
Responsibilities:
• Identify and prioritize the needs for these workstreams and work with other TPMs and engineering leaders to ensure timely design and implementation into E/E systems.
• Represent these areas to build cross-functional plans, define and verify acceptance criteria, drive alignment, and deliver these workstream's Outcomes on the Technology Roadmap to enable critical product milestones.
• Vigilantly work to reconcile gaps in timelines, focus leadership attention, and proactively address dependencies, risks, and change management. You will leverage this roadmap, partnering with other TPMs and engineering leadership to inform the short and long-term priorities of these workstreams to support engineering in advancing our company’s milestones.
• Apply best practices in program management and engineering expertise to report status to leadership, initiate escalations, drive timely execution on the Technology Roadmap including its dependencies, risks, and changes.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 6+ years of experience as a Product Manager, Technical Product Manager, or Technical Program Manager in autonomous vehicles, robotics, automotive, or similar industries.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering or related technical field plus demonstrates competences and technical proficiencies typically acquired through 6+ years of experience OR;
• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering or related technical field plus demonstrates competences and technical proficiencies typically acquired through 3+ years of experience
• A strong track record of driving execution of cross-functional programs and communicating with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience managing a cross-functional roadmap, including the dependencies, risks, and change management
• Strong active listening, negotiation, and prioritization skills
• Ability to provide clear, well-structured, and concise communications tailored to different audiences
• The desire to grow your technical and program skillsets in an ever-evolving industry
Preferred:
• Experience in the Autonomous Vehicle Industry
• Experience designing and releasing to safety standards
• Experience integrating safety case, requirements, and acceptance criteria into Systems and SW design
• Experience leading a team to a production launch
• Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Miro
