Job description

Introduction
Our client is a practice in Delray Beach seeking a Lead Veterinarian to oversee both clinical and leadership functions within their hospital. This role is designed for an experienced veterinarian who will dedicate the majority of their time to delivering high-quality medical care while also guiding the team, shaping hospital operations, and fostering a strong, positive culture.

Working Hours / Rota
This is a full-time position, and the Lead Veterinarian position includes a lot of autonomy on schedules. The hospital operates on an alternating schedule on Mondays and Saturdays from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm or 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, is open Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, is closed on Wednesdays, and is closed on Sundays.

Role Description and Responsibilities
This position requires an experienced veterinarian who will spend approximately 85% of their time on clinical duties and 15% on leadership responsibilities. Clinical responsibilities include behavioral consultations, dermatology, diagnostics, euthanasia, kitten and puppy care, microchipping, nutritional counseling, oncology diagnostics, oral health, prescription management, senior pet care, spaying and neutering, surgery, travel documentation, vaccinations, and wellness exams. Leadership responsibilities include ensuring high-quality veterinary care, supervising medical procedures and guidelines, creating and maintaining the doctor schedule, mentoring Associate Veterinarians, leading rounds and meetings, partnering with the Operations Manager on client experience, participating in recruitment, and upholding the practice's values and culture. The role is open to experienced veterinarians only.

  • Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)

  • Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
