Job Summary:

Supermicro is seeking a Sr. Product Manager to promote GPU server system products for cloud and data center infrastructure. The product manager is expected to collaborate with marketing and sales departments to promote products and interact with customers directly to sell these products. As a product manager, you will use strong technical and communication skills towards product definition strategy for Supermicro's core product family including research into vertical-based customer solutions and creation of aggressive go-to market plan. Ultimately, Product Manager will become a core member of the server product management team and engage in technical, product development, marketing, and pre/post-sales support activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
* Drive all labs test issues to closure. Understand technical literature from the tests reports and work with R&D to come up with solutions to fix the bugs found by the validation teams
* Lead technical discussions with internal R&D\Labs\architecture\thermal\productions\PgM\ purchasing etc. teams and drive the product development to product release
* Proactively engage customers' technical discussions to define specific product specifications and select corresponding components to fulfill customers' requirements
* Work with production and PgM teams to arrange production plan and schedules
* Follow up with all internal stake holders in order to facilitate internal documentation processes (related to the projects)
* Assemble and disassemble servers for labs\R&D and customer samples

Qualifications:

* Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering with minimum of 8 years hands-on experience in system/server architecture is desirable
* Demonstrated ability in product marketing and/or product management role, must have managed a number of products from initial concept through development, launch, and end-of-life
* Strong knowledge with computer architecture
* Exceptional communication and presentation skill is a must, able to communicate effectively with customers to promote, answer questions, and receive feedback
* Experiences in either fields: server/ storage/ switch/ CPU/ GPU/liquid cooling hardware or BIOS/BMC/IPMI/ server management software/ rack clustering software
* Ability to translate customer demands into product specifications
* Be able to lead technical discussions with customers
* Be able to coordinate with internal teams
* Proactive, problem-solver, accountable, and exhibit proven history to learn from failures

Salary Range

$162,000 - $182,000

The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
