About the Role
This position involves working as a team with other associates within the Case Management Department to service SelectQuote Life's clients and maximize the number of policies completing the underwriting process and getting placed with our carrier partners. Case Specialist floaters provide vital customer service and are primarily responsible for filling in for other Case Specialists during PTO/LOA. This individual is responsible for making a high volume of outbound calls to clients with outstanding information and documents that need to be obtained in order to move the case forward. This position requires extensive telephone/computer work complementing the sales process by handling objections reinforcing the buying decision creating urgency and persuading clients to return their paperwork.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage a consistently high volume of outbound and inbound calls per day
  • Utilize email and text regularly in order to maximize contact with clients
  • Retrieve outstanding underwriting and delivery requirements from customers while answering any customer service related questions during phone-calls
  • Work with carriers as needed
  • Ability to handle customer objections or complaints
  • Educate consumers on the underwriting process around documents and requirements needed to assist carriers in approving their life insurance policies
  • Knowledge of each carrier's guidelines when discussing delivery deadlines and
  • Ability to understand and discuss sensitive client information including medical financial and lifestyle information
  • Meet and exceed production and goals
  • Build an understanding of other department functions thus being able to correctly identify a course of action for a case
  • Progressively over time demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of the term life insurance application process
  • Ongoing training critical thinking ability to give and receive constructive criticism
  • Participation in ongoing team training

Education and Experience:

Physical Requirements:
Work is performed indoors with potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to office work. Could periodically travel to other office and operational sites. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
