Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Driver Support to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of automation and capital projects across a distribution network. This role is responsible for managing projects from concept through implementation while ensuring safety, quality, budget, schedule, and operational objectives are achieved.

Additional Details:

Contract Length: 12 months with the possibility of extension

Pay range: $45 to $ 55 per hour on W2 (As per experience)

Responsibilities:

• Lead automation and capital projects from concept through implementation, ensuring successful delivery on time and within budget.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, resource allocations, risk assessments, and executive status reports.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including Operations, Engineering, IT, Maintenance, Procurement, Supply Chain, and external vendors.
• Oversee equipment installation, commissioning, startup, and project handoff to operations.
• Support implementation of warehouse automation technologies, including:
• Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems (ASRS)
• Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs)
• Conveyor and sortation systems
• Robotics and vision systems
• Warehouse Execution Systems (WES)
• Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Printing and labeling automation
• Manage vendor selection, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and project closeout activities.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
• Develop business cases and ROI analyses to support capital investment decisions.
• Track project KPIs and ensure successful operational transition following project completion.
• Maintain compliance with safety, quality, engineering, and operational standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing automation, engineering, capital, manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain projects.
• Strong understanding of project management principles, including:
• Scope Management
• Schedule Management
• Budget & Cost Control
• Risk Management
• Change Management
• Stakeholder Communication
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, material handling systems, and supply chain processes.
• Experience implementing automation technologies in manufacturing or distribution environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and other project management tools.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma tools, including process mapping, DMAIC, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Experience delivering capital or automation projects within manufacturing, logistics, or distribution environments.
• Hands-on experience with warehouse automation technologies such as ASRS, AMRs, robotics, conveyor systems, sortation systems, and WES.
• Experience with ERP and Warehouse Management Systems (SAP, SAP EWM, Manhattan, Blue Yonder, or similar platforms).
• Knowledge of capital planning, engineering design, and system integration.

Must be authorized to work in the United States.
