Job description

About the team

The Roku TV team is looking for a Product Partnerships Manager to work closely with Roku's global OS manufacturing partners and various internal groups to bring new Roku TV products to market and measure key operational areas. We never lose sight of the critical path and can inspire others to follow it. Fostering collaboration is a core component, as we believe a great team can do anything.

About the role

As the Product Partnerships Manager, you will help identify, define, and communicate technical requirements and product features to internal and external stakeholders. The relationships you develop with our partners will empower you to articulate their perspective on product features and create common understanding and alignment. You will be required to author feature guides and product briefs, enabling the team to efficiently and effectively develop and qualify new Roku products. The insights you gather and develop by working cross-functionally within Roku and with our partners will help inform Roku's product and feature roadmaps and strengthen our competitive advantage.

What you'll be doing
  • Own the product and technical relationship with global OEM partners working on Roku TV and Smart Projectors
  • Coordinate with business development, marketing, and engineering teams to cultivate and bolster successful product partnerships
  • Work with the factory partners to establish short-term and multi-year product roadmaps and gather and develop insights that will help strengthen Roku's competitive advantage
  • Understand and analyze partners' requirements and translate them to product requirement documents and feature guides
  • Author Product Briefs and Feature Guides for new products and key features, and track these initiatives to successful completion
  • Work with Roku Engineering to define technology and tools roadmaps that drive innovation and maintain product differentiation
  • Advocate for product issues on behalf of the partners within Roku and influence internal teams to resolve the issues in a timely manner
  • Develop and enhance relationships with key internal stakeholders, understand the business, and navigate within the organization to drive initiatives effectively
  • Use data analytics to monitor product health, product engagement, and drive business decisions
We're excited if you have
  • 5+ years in a Product or Engineering role in the consumer electronics domain
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related discipline required
  • Possess a pragmatic, strategic approach to problem-solving and can foster that trait in your team
  • You know how to build trust and deliver on your objectives, working across independent teams with independent priorities
  • Have strong product and business intuition
  • You make decisions with data, but know how to proceed when none is available
  • Experience operating across multiple workstreams (hardware and/or software) to deliver successful products
  • Experience with partner management and negotiation
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams across product, engineering, operations, and finance
  • Knowledge of the TV industry (core technology, retail strategy, regulatory/certification requirements) a plus
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
