Job description

What does the team work on?

Roku is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Devices Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. Reporting to the Senior Manager, FP&A, this role will play a critical role in supporting Roku Devices, along with supporting key business partners and developing automated reporting and forecasting solutions to drive business insight that is relevant and digestible.

This role provides broad exposure to senior leadership and key decision makers across the company. Applicant should have strong communication skills, financial modeling skills, exceptional attention to detail, and be able to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, high growth environment. But what makes an excellent candidate is someone who exhibits natural curiosity to learn and strives to find ways to solve complex problems.

What is the role?

The Senior Financial Analyst will play a key role in supporting Roku's business by consolidating financial data, identifying key drivers, and conducting detailed analyses that surface meaningful insights about performance trends. This role partners closely with multiple FP&A teams to develop standardized reporting and visibility into the financial levers that drive business outcomes. The Senior Financial Analyst will create materials and analyses consumed across the company, providing a unique consolidated perspective on performance across a portfolio of business units. This person will contribute to long-range strategic planning, annual planning, forecasting, and close cycles while ensuring financial reporting accuracy and timeliness. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capabilities, cross-functional collaboration skills, and a desire to operate in a dynamic environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join an impactful team that plays a critical role in shaping the future growth of Roku.

For California Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $125,000 - $140,000 annually.
Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location.
This role is eligible for health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off.

How will I use AI at Roku?

At Roku, we don't just use AI, we work with it. AI agents and smart tools help power drafts, analysis, and repetitive workflows, while our people bring direction, judgment, and accountability.

We value curious, adaptable builders, who can show how they've used AI, agents, or automation to move faster, improve quality, and scale their impact. Strong candidates know how to frame problems, guide AI-assisted work, check the output, and learn quickly. Above all, they bring curiosity, adaptability, and sound judgment.

What are the responsibilities of the role?
  • Support the consolidation of actuals and forecasts across business units for long-range strategic planning, annual planning, and forecast and close cycles
  • Produce reporting that encompasses the full P&L (revenue to operating profit), units, and headcount
  • Collaborate with the broader FP&A team to craft narratives for senior leadership, connecting results and key metrics for comprehensive performance explanations and forward-looking projections
  • Work cross-functionally to develop, track, and analyze KPIs across various parts of the business
  • Produce and distribute recurring and ad hoc management reports, ensuring financial reporting accuracy and timeliness
  • Drive the continued development of standardized reporting and presentations across the business
  • Develop and manage source-of-truth data sources that feed into financial reporting
  • Support the creation of materials and analyses for executive and board-level audiences

What experience would help someone be successful in this role at Roku?
  • 3+ years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, investment banking, or a related financial analysis discipline, ideally at a technology company
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to decipher complex business drivers and deliver high-quality analytics and reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams within tight deadlines and drive projects to completion
  • Experience implementing new processes and reporting solutions in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Comfort with cyclical workloads that peak around key corporate deliverables such as close, forecast cycles, and board meetings
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work with large and complex data sets
  • Familiarity with tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, Looker, SQL, Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, or NetSuite is a plus
