Position Specific Description
We are seeking a high-impact Manager of Project Estimating to lead and elevate our estimating function across a diverse portfolio of energy and infrastructure projects. This role owns the development, review, and execution of capital cost estimates-from early-stage concept through detailed design-ensuring alignment with business objectives and market conditions. You will partner closely with engineering, project development, and leadership teams to shape project strategy, evaluate design alternatives, and drive value through data-driven decision-making and value engineering. As the accountable owner of estimate quality, you will continuously improve tools, processes, and assumptions to increase accuracy, speed, and insight.

Job Overview
This position oversees and performs estimating functions on major projects in the power sector, including wind, transmission, gas pipelines, solar, fossil, energy storage and distributed generation. Employees in this role develop, interpret, and execute policy objectives and standards applicable to estimating activities. Successful candidates work with other project team members to assess project risk and cost exposure, during the development and execution phases.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Works collaboratively with early stage project managers, to determine project priorities and work plans required to meet corporate objectives with limited estimating resources
• Manages Engineering and Construction department estimating resources, to provide effective estimating support company-wide
• Performs project due diligence, including assessment of costs for design options and project optimization
• Prepares capital cost estimates
• Obtains commitments from early stage project managers, as necessary, to support project estimating schedules
• Determines necessary procedure or process requirements for estimating group, and coordinates development and implementation of same
• Stays current with technology and industry evolution, in order to assure that project capital estimates anticipate the correct market conditions
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
