Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Hybrid) 
Duration: 5 months contract

Job Description:
  • The NPI (New Product Introduction) Supply Chain Program Manager is responsible for leading end-to-end supply chain readiness for new product launches. This role partners closely with Engineering, Operations, Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, and external suppliers to ensure products transition smoothly from development to mass production. The ideal candidate excels at cross-functional program management, risk mitigation, and delivering on cost, quality, and schedule targets.
 
Responsibilities:
NPI Program Leadership
  • Own supply chain execution for new product introductions from concept through ramp-to-volume.
  • Develop and manage integrated NPI plans, timelines, and milestones aligned with product development schedules.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across Engineering, Operations, Quality, Manufacturing, and Finance.
Supply Chain Readiness & Execution
  • Lead supplier selection, onboarding, and qualification activities for new components and assemblies.
  • Ensure BOM readiness, cost targets, capacity planning, and material availability for prototype, pilot, and production builds.
  • Manage supply chain risks, identify constraints, and implement mitigation plans to support on-time launches.
Supplier & Manufacturing Management
  • Coordinate with contract manufacturers and suppliers to support EVT/DVT/PVT builds and production ramp.
  • Monitor supplier performance, lead times, quality metrics, and capacity commitments.
  • Support manufacturing site readiness, including tooling, fixtures, and process validation.
Cost, Quality & Risk Management
  • Drive should-cost analysis, cost reduction initiatives, and variance tracking versus targets.
  • Partner with Quality teams to ensure compliance, PPAP/FAI readiness, and issue resolution.
  • Identify and manage supply chain risks related to sourcing, logistics, geopolitical factors, and component lifecycle.
Reporting & Communication
  • Provide regular executive-level status updates on NPI supply chain readiness, risks, and launch metrics.
  • Track and report KPIs related to schedule adherence, cost, yield, and supplier performance.
  • Facilitate clear decision-making through data-driven insights and structured communication.
 
Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain, operations, or program management, with direct NPI exposure.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, sourcing, logistics, and product lifecycle management.
  • Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional programs in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
