    Job description

We are looking for an Infrastructure Planning Leader to own Meta's medium-range and long-range infrastructure capacity planning process end to end. In this role you will work across infrastructure engineering teams, product groups, and finance to translate product and AI roadmaps into a multi-year plan for compute, power, and data center capacity. You will design the planning process itself, build alignment on it across a large and technically diverse set of partner teams, educate those teams on how to participate, and guide both demand and supply organizations through its execution. This is a senior individual contributor role for a planning practitioner with depth across data center infrastructure, power, supply chain, and infrastructure demand.
    Responsibilities
Own the medium-range and long-range infrastructure capacity planning processes end to end, from demand collection through supply commitment.
    • Partner with infrastructure engineering teams, product groups, and finance to translate product and AI roadmaps into multi-year compute, power, and data center capacity requirements.
    • Design, document, and iterate on the planning process, including the planning calendar, required inputs, decision checkpoints, and published outputs.
    • Educate partner teams on the planning process and build the shared definitions, artifacts, and templates that teams use to participate in it.
    • Guide demand teams in forecasting and articulating their infrastructure requirements, and guide supply teams in translating those requirements into build, procurement, and deployment plans.
    • Identify gaps between forecasted infrastructure demand and planned supply, and drive the trade-off decisions needed to close them.
    • Define the metrics used to measure forecast accuracy, plan attainment, and capacity utilization, and drive improvement against those metrics over time.
    • Partner with data center and supply chain teams on lead times, constraints, and sequencing that determine when capacity can be delivered.
    Minimum Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
    • 15+ years of experience in capacity planning, supply chain planning, or demand planning
    • Experience designing and owning a recurring, multi-quarter planning process spanning multiple organizations
    • Experience with data center infrastructure planning, including power, capacity, or supply chain constraints
    • Experience presenting planning recommendations and trade-offs to executive-level audiences
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience with long-range capacity planning for hyperscale, cloud, or large-scale data center infrastructure
    • Experience with capacity planning for AI or machine learning training and inference workloads
    • Experience with quantitative modeling, scenario planning, or optimization methods applied to capacity or supply decisions
    • Familiarity with data center power delivery, cooling, or site selection constraints in a hyperscale environment
    • Experience partnering with finance organizations on capital planning or capital expenditure forecasting
    • Experience with hardware supply chain planning, including supplier lead times, constraints, and procurement cycles
    • Master's degree or PhD in Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Economics, or a relevant technical field
