Job description

Who is Comprehensive Healthcare?

What are we looking for in a Program Manager?
Responsible for delivering behavioral health services, supervising staff, and ensuring program compliance. Provides therapeutic interventions, oversees treatment planning, and supports recovery principles while maintaining quality standards and safety protocols. Although the Program Manager has primarily a Monday-Friday day shift schedule, they must also be available for after-hours emergency calls and shift coverage when necessary.
Program Manager duties may include:
Therapeutic Services
  • Conduct individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based practices.
  • Facilitate behavioral health groups to promote engagement, skill-building, and insight.
  • Apply clinical techniques appropriate for diverse populations.

Assessment & Planning
  • Complete intakes, assessments, and screenings; gather and interpret clinical data.
  • Develop and update treatment plans and service agreements in collaboration with clients.
  • Incorporate recovery principles and measurable goals into all plans.

Medication Support
  • Oversee medication self-administration following safety protocols.
  • Document medication administration, monitor effectiveness and side effects, and provide education.
  • Ensure compliance with agency medication management policies.

Crisis Intervention & Safety
  • Utilize crisis intervention techniques for stabilization and risk assessment.
  • Develop safety plans and apply QPRT principles.
  • Follow protocols for managing aggressive behaviors and seclusion/restraint when necessary.

Supervision & Staff Development
  • Provide clinical supervision, feedback, and coaching to staff.
  • Create training and development plans; conduct performance evaluations.
  • Support employee growth and goal attainment.

Program & Administrative Duties
  • Ensure compliance with agency policies, documentation standards, and legal requirements.
  • Monitor program quality and budget adherence.
  • Collaborate with HR on hiring, retention, and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintain effective communication with staff, clients, families, and community resources.

Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in social services or behavioral sciences, or related field.
    • (Exceptions can be made for a Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in a like position)
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral health practices, crisis intervention, and recovery principles.
  • Ability to supervise staff and manage program operations effectively.
  • Must have valid driver's license, vehicle liability insurance, and a minimum of two years of safe driving experience
