A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

A day in the life of a Business Development Manager at FIRST ONSITE is dynamic and centered around building and nurturing relationships with insurance companies and independent adjusters. It begins with a deep dive into the insurance arena, understanding claims strategies, and supply chain management for insurers, loss adjusters, and brokers. Our Business Development Manager stays ahead by maintaining a detailed understanding of designated client accounts and prospective clients, ensuring all relevant information is up-to-date.

Our Business Development Manager keeps a finger on the pulse of the company's products and services, competitors, and relevant organizations. Actively pursuing business opportunities within existing and prospective clients is a key part of the day, acting as the main point of contact for designated client accounts. This involves responding to insurance inquiries, general queries, information requests, and complaints effectively, in line with contractual frameworks, client expectations, and requirements.

Maximizing contract revenue is crucial, and our Manager ensures clients are fully aware and educated on the launch of new products and services. They also assist with the development and implementation of new offerings where required.

Working in close conjunction with the Marketing team, our Business Development Manager assists with relevant marketing activities and events, providing regular client feedback. This holistic approach ensures that FIRST ONSITE remains at the forefront of the property restoration industry, delivering exceptional service and value to our insurance partners and clients.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in field sales, business development, or a related operational role.
  • Well-networked within the property and/or facility management industry.
  • Must have a working knowledge of property insurance and building construction.
  • Preferably, experience in the restoration/property insurance field.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a Sales platform.
  • Client-centric, data-driven, and results-oriented approach.

This is a current vacancy. Compensation for this position ranges from $60,000 to $80,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications, plus incentive opportunities.
