Your Job
DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, is looking for an Electrical Project Engineering Manager. This role sits in DEPCOM's Electrical Engineering capability supporting utility-scale Solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) EPC projects and can be physically based in Scottsdale, AZ, or Bedminster, NJ. The primary function of this role is to lead electrical engineering execution by aligning stakeholders, coordinating deliverables, managing schedules, identifying risks, and supporting successful project outcomes across the full EPC lifecycle.

What You Will Do
  • Lead engineering execution for utility-scale PV and BESS EPC projects, with responsibility for coordinating electrical engineering activities across project stakeholders.
  • Establish electrical engineering priorities, milestones, schedules, and deliverable expectations in partnership with project delivery leadership and discipline leads.
  • Coordinate electrical design activities with Civil, Structural, SCADA, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning, customers, and other key stakeholders.
  • Monitor engineering progress and proactively identify risks related to schedule, quality, cost, permitting, procurement, construction, commissioning, and contract compliance.
  • Serve as a primary engineering interface for customers, owner's engineers, consultants, utilities, authorities having jurisdiction, vendors, subcontractors, and project delivery teams.
  • Lead engineering-focused meetings, issue-resolution discussions, project reviews, and interdisciplinary coordination efforts.
  • Drive timely resolution of RFIs, field issues, engineering changes, , and interdisciplinary conflicts.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain to support material procurement, long-lead equipment identification, and vendor documentation.
  • Manage engineering transmittals, vendor submittals, RFIs, change requests, and design revisions.
  • Create clarity around engineering responsibilities, deadlines, decision owners, and required stakeholder inputs to support disciplined engineering execution.
  • Experience identifying risks, resolving issues, and communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to influence without direct authority, align matrixed stakeholders, and drive accountability across project teams.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, customer satisfaction, continuous improvement, and project success.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • Bachelor degree or higher in Engineering
  • Experience supporting engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, or project execution activities
  • Experience managing engineering deliverables, schedules, documentation, project workflows, or cross-functional coordination
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering execution across electrical, civil, structural, SCADA, procurement, construction, or commissioning teams
  • Experience with scheduling, document management, Procore or similar construction/project execution systems, and engineering workflow tools

What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Experience in utility-scale solar, battery energy storage systems, substations, transmission, or EPC project delivery
  • Experience working with customers, owner's engineers, vendors, subcontractors, or utilities
  • Experience supporting procurement, construction, commissioning, FATs, RFIs, submittals, change management, or project closeout activities
  • Experience with EPC contracts, scopes of work, engineering deliverables, permitting requirements, and technical exhibits

For this role, we anticipate paying $120,000 - $150,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
