Job description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead heavy highway, bridge, and civil construction projects from initiation through closeout.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, cost reports, and overall financial performance.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of owner contracts and project specifications.
  • Coordinate field operations and work closely with Superintendents and Project Engineers.
  • Review and approve subcontractor pay applications, invoices, and project expenditures.
  • Manage subcontract administration, procurement, purchase orders, change orders, and claims.
  • Monitor project schedules and ensure milestones are achieved.
  • Utilize Vista (Viewpoint) and HCSS HeavyJob for project documentation and cost management.
  • Mentor Project Managers and Engineers while supporting team development.
  • Participate in alternative delivery pursuits and proposal development.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 10+ years of heavy highway, bridge, or civil construction experience in Colorado.
  • 4+ years of construction experience (minimum screening requirement).
  • Strong knowledge of CDOT standards, specifications, and roadway construction practices.
  • Proven experience managing subcontractors, self-perform work, and contract administration.
  • Experience with Vista (Viewpoint) and HCSS HeavyJob software is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining quality, safety, and budget objectives.

Compensation
Base Salary - USD $135,000 to $175,000
