Job description

Timezone: EST

Fully Remote - Work from anywhere (excluding the United States.)

Hi! We're Search Atlas, a SaaS B2B company focused on engineering products and services that help businesses improve their performance on Google. We are a rapidly growing organization with clients from Fortune 500 companies to leading Silicon Valley tech startups.

About the Role

Reports to: Director of Web Operations & Delivery

We're looking for a WordPress Developer who's past the basics and ready to own real work. You bring solid technical skills, a sharp eye for detail, and Claude Code is already part of how you work - not something you're just getting started with. You can take a Figma prototype and turn it into a clean, fully responsive build independently - whether it's an internal Search Atlas property or a client deliverable. You don't need your hand held through a project, but you know when to ask questions and how to communicate clearly when you do.

If you take pride in your work, move with purpose, and are always looking for smarter ways to build - we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build & Implement Develop and maintain scalable, performant web solutions using WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript - translating Figma prototypes into responsive, production-ready builds for both internal projects and client work, and using Claude Code throughout to move faster and write better code.

  • Follow & Contribute to Technical Standards Work within established technical standards and best practices, and actively contribute to improving them over time. You produce clean, maintainable code that holds up under review - you don't ship work you wouldn't put your name on.

  • Collaborate & Communicate Work closely with designers and senior developers during Figma handoff to understand project scope, flag questions early, and execute with confidence. You communicate clearly in writing and don't let ambiguity quietly become a problem.

  • Domain & Infrastructure Support Support website hosting (Kinsta, WPEngine, etc.) and domain management (Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Squarespace) tasks, with a growing understanding of performance, security, and uptime best practices.

  • Hands-On Development Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress, Webflow, and Elementor websites from concept to launch - working directly from Figma prototypes to deliver responsive, accurate implementations across both internal and client-facing properties, using Claude Code as a force multiplier throughout.

  • Optimize for SEO Implement technical and on-page SEO best practices to support search performance, including site structure, schema markup, and page speed improvements.

  • Troubleshoot & Grow Identify and resolve front-end and WordPress issues across browsers and devices. Stay curious - you're always picking up new tools and techniques, and AI tooling is part of that.

Qualifications

Required:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in WordPress

Core Development

  • WordPress development - themes, plugins, custom builds

  • PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

  • Elementor - building and customizing beyond pre-built templates

  • Solid Next.js chops

Design-to-Build

  • Figma - inspecting specs, navigating prototypes, and executing builds independently without hand-holding

AI Tooling

  • Claude Code - hands-on experience in a real production workflow

Platform & Infrastructure

  • Hosting platforms - Kinsta, WPEngine, or similar

  • Basic domain and DNS management - Cloudflare, GoDaddy, or similar

Nice to Have

  • Shopify development

  • Modern JavaScript framework - React, Vue, or Angular

  • Headless CMS familiarity

  • RESTful API knowledge

  • SEO and performance optimization tools

Skills & Competencies
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail

  • Proactive problem-solver who anticipates issues before they arise

  • Ability to maintain composure and prioritize during high-pressure situations

  • Strong follow-through and accountability

  • Collaborative team player with a service-oriented mindset

  • Adaptable and comfortable with changing priorities

  • Uncompromising commitment to quality - you don't ship work you wouldn't be proud of, and you raise the standard for everyone around you

Our Recruitment Process
  • Step 1: Initial screening call with our recruitment team

  • Step 3: Final interview with our Hiring Manager

  • Step 3: Offer extended

Why Join Us?

Shape the future of a product that's already making waves in the digital marketing world. Work with a collaborative and ambitious team that values innovation and growth. Be part of a company with exciting growth plans and a clear vision for the future.
