Job Description
GM Protection focuses on branded vehicle protection product sales as part of GM Financial, the wholly owned subsidiary and captive finance arm of General Motors. Our sales team spans the United States working with GM dealers on a variety of initiatives to drive product sales, customer loyalty, and profitability for the dealers and the brand. As a trusted advisor, you will consult with various roles within GM dealerships and collaborate with internal partners to represent GM Financial and GM Protection. Responsibilities
About the role:
You will continuously strengthen current dealer relationships and improve vehicle protection contract count through consistent, approved training activities. You will provide quality customer service by satisfying the business needs of the dealers, manufacturer partners, and GM Financial. You are expected to deliver results as an F&I expert and trusted advisor to generate contracts through product knowledge, industry knowledge, and training demonstrations. You will become an integral part of the value we bring to our GM dealers, as we provide real world retail experience and training from automotive professionals like you!
In this role you will:
  • Provide tailored F&I training for dealers in collaboration with field account representatives on GM Protection products, menu & interview process, and systems.
  • Support new dealership launches, new F&I Manager training, service claims processes, overcoming objections, and business development.
  • Maintain effective communication with dealers and appropriate internal partners.
  • Be self-motivated with an ability to work both independently and collaboratively to drive change.
  • Be mobile as this role is fully remote and may travel up to 80% of the time to dealership training assignments.

Qualifications
What makes you an ideal candidate?
  • In-dealership one-on-one observation, role plays, and menu training
  • Model and refine GM Financial F&I sales process with dealer and customers to increase effectiveness, compliance, and demonstrate profit potential and customer satisfaction
  • Provide guidance on effective turnover processes between Sales and F&I, customer interview, menu presentation, and closing techniques
  • Train Finance departments on protection products as necessary
  • Maintain effective communication with appropriate internal partners and positive relationships within all areas of the dealership
  • Demonstrate best practices of available reporting tools and dealer-facing systems (without working in dealer systems, printing documents, or customer signatures)
  • Collaborate with the dealer's assigned Account Manager - Protection to achieve key performance criteria, incorporating upfront expectations, meeting dealership objectives, and communicating ongoing progress, successes, challenges, and opportunities
  • Complete daily and weekly progress reports, utilize the internal CRM system, and communicate with Strategic Sales leadership
  • Promote a culture of teamwork, excellence, and integrity
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Conform with all company policies and procedures
  • Long-term mobility is beneficial for career development and advancement within the sales organization at GM Financial

Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred, or extensive relevant experience preferred
  • In-dealership F&I experience strongly preferred
  • A proven track record of quality sales performance and client satisfaction preferred

Working Conditions:
  • 80% travel required within the contiguous United States, with the rare but possible need for weekend travel
  • Ongoing mobility with willingness to relocate preferred
  • Responding to dealer communications outside of normal business hours
  • Must be able to operate a motor vehicle (company or rental) for traveling from one work location to another access to a major airport

The base salary for this role is: USD $85,000 to $95,000
