Job description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Safety & Compliance

  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Lead safety improvement initiatives and investigate incidents as required.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, environmental regulations, and customer requirements.

Production Management

  • Lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve production schedules and customer requirements.
  • Ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards.
  • Monitor production performance, identify constraints, and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage labor utilization, staffing levels, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to meet operational goals.

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, and waste-reduction initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and profitability.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement projects including preparation of Capital Purchases.
  • Drive process standardization and best-practice sharing across operations.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Coach, mentor, and develop supervisors and production employees.
  • Conduct performance reviews and establish development plans.
  • Foster employee engagement and continuous learning.
  • Lead change management efforts associated with operational improvements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Experience leading Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning, quality systems, and operational excellence methodologies.
  • Experience supervising teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
