Project Managers play a central role in coordinating efforts across various departments such as engineering, marketing, finance, and operations. They facilitate regular meetings, set clear expectations, and ensure all stakeholders are aligned on project goals, timelines, and deliverables. Effective communication and conflict resolution skills are crucial, as Project Managers often bridge gaps between different teams to keep the project on track. This collaborative approach helps to identify potential issues early and fosters a cohesive team environment.

Job description

Company Overview

Docusign brings agreements to life. Over 1.5 million customers and more than a billion people in over 180 countries use Docusign solutions to accelerate the process of doing business and simplify people's lives. With intelligent agreement management, Docusign unleashes business-critical data that is trapped inside of documents. Until now, these were disconnected from business systems of record, costing businesses time, money, and opportunity. Using Docusign's Intelligent Agreement Management platform, companies can create, commit, and manage agreements with solutions created by the #1 company in e-signature and contract lifecycle management (CLM).

What you'll do

We are at a pivotal moment-transitioning to an AI-first enterprise. This isn't about layering AI on top of existing workflows; it's about reimagining how products are built, decisions are made, and customers experience value.

As a Program Manager, AI & Innovation, you won't just coordinate delivery-you'll shape how AI gets operationalized at scale. You'll work at the intersection of product, engineering, data, and go-to-market teams to turn emerging AI capabilities into reliable, production-grade systems that drive measurable business outcomes.  This is a role for builders and operators-people who understand that shipping AI is fundamentally different from shipping traditional software. If you're excited about solving problems like model drift, evaluation uncertainty, data governance, and compute trade-offs, this is where you can have outsized impact.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Director, Program Execution.

Responsibility

  • Orchestrate the end-to-end AI experimentation lifecycle, driving initiatives from initial prototyping and POC through pilot phases to production-grade monitoring and enterprise scale

  • Build and iterate on prompts, workflows, and agents using no code agents, LLMs across Commerce, Sales, and Self-Service (.com) experiences, from ideation through production scale

  • Translate ambiguous AI opportunities into clear program roadmaps, aligning model capabilities with business outcomes

  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Technology and Data Science to operationalize and agentify workflows

  • Leverage PMO tools and methodologies to implement and manage scope, timelines, risks, and resources

  • Create and manage all project management artifacts including project plan, issues and risks log, budgets, and status updates

  • Collaborate with Project Management and Change Enablement professionals across Docusign sharing leading practices and evolve our methodology

  • Anticipate and resolve compute and infrastructure constraints in partnership with technology teams

  • Ensure adherence to data privacy, security, and responsible AI practices across all implementations

  • Drive alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leadership

  • Orchestrate dependencies across multiple workstreams spanning AI, platform, and business systems (e.g., CPQ, billing, CRM)

  • Lead program rituals, executive updates, and decision forums with clarity and influence

  • Champion experimentation while building reusable patterns, components, and reference implementations for scaling AI across the enterprise.

  • Identify and incubate opportunities to embed AI into core business processes (e.g., Quote-to-Cash, support automation, sales productivity)

  • Elevate program management practices by integrating AI-native tooling and automation

Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

Preferred job designations are not guaranteed when changing positions within Docusign. Docusign reserves the right to change a position's job designation depending on business needs and as permitted by local law.

What you bring

Basic

  • 8+ years of experience of project management best practices and Agile methodology

  • Hands-on understanding of the LLM lifecycle, including: Prompt engineering and prompt optimization, Fine-tuning approaches and trade-offs, Evaluation methodologies (automated + human feedback loops)

  • Familiarity with AI system design and infrastructure, including model APIs, vector databases, embeddings, and orchestration frameworks

  • Experience managing challenges unique to AI systems

  • Working knowledge of Responsible AI, data governance, and privacy considerations in production environments

  • Experience working with enterprise systems (e.g., Salesforce, CPQ, billing platforms) and digital transformation initiatives

  • Demonstrated ability to move from AI pilots and experimentation to production-grade deployment

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience

Preferred

  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence senior executives and translate complexity into clarity
  • Experience leading AI/ML-driven product or platform initiatives in a SaaS environment

  • Exposure to AI tooling ecosystems (e.g., LLM platforms, orchestration frameworks, evaluation tools)

  • Background working closely with Data Science, ML Engineering, or Applied AI teams

  • Ability to simplify complex AI concepts for business stakeholders and drive adoption

  • Ability to quickly understand complex issues and develop or apply simplifying frameworks to facilitate broader organizational understanding, decision-making and action

  • Detail-oriented with excellent verbal, written, organizational, presentation and interpersonal communications skills
