What you'll do

As the Product Manager for Healthcare & Life Sciences (HLS) you will focus on delivering solutions that allow our customers to better support end patients, clinicians, administrators, payers, and life sciences stakeholders. You will work with cross-functional leaders to define a multi-year strategy and lead the efforts to build the roadmap, vision, and priorities for supporting this priority industry. You will deeply understand how Docusign can best deliver for our HLS customer needs and work with product development teams across Docusign to deliver product capabilities and solutions that support Healthcare & Life Sciences customers end-to-end agreement flows within provider, payer, pharma, and emerging digital health segments. Interacting directly with customers to validate solutions and market needs will be a key part of your role. Docusign has built award winning and the most pervasive technology for enabling businesses to automate their agreement processes - from generating agreements, negotiating between parties, getting agreements electronically signed, managing the workflows and integrations once an agreement is signed and analyzing and deriving insights from agreements. Today, Docusign's products meet the needs of customers extending from individual consumers to large Enterprises. You will serve as the subject matter expert guiding product development teams on what capabilities and solutions will best meet HLS customers' biggest agreement challenges related to patient intake, physician onboarding, pharmaceutical development, and more. Using qualitative and quantitative insights, you will deliver a strategy and product roadmap that both transforms how Docusign meets HLS customer needs and drives measurable impact. In this position you will work cross-functionally with Design, Marketing, and Engineering and engage directly with customers to experiment and iterate.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Vice President of Product Management.

Responsibility

  • Lead the strategy and roadmap for delivering product capabilities and solutions for Healthcare & Life Sciences (HLS)

  • Build products aligned with HIPAA, FDA and other frameworks incl. FHIR, HL7 (as applicable)

  • Facilitate customer engagements to validate solutions and market needs within Healthcare & Life Sciences

  • Drive the vision and requirements, translate them to functional specifications to facilitate a sound design and deliver a delightful customer experience in partnership with product development teams across Docusign

  • Leverage primary and secondary research in to deepen understanding of HLS customers across their lifecycle, from awareness to renewal and expansion

  • Own insights on the market including staying abreast of Healthcare & Life Sciences industry trends, events, and channels to anticipate customer needs

  • Understand key personas, pain points and jobs to be done within Healthcare & Life Sciences by closely working with customers, User Research, and Marketing

  • Understand and profile high value, innovative use cases purchased and implemented by key HLS customers

  • Work closely with the Business Development team to identify partners critical to scaling Healthcare & Life Sciences offerings

  • Monitor, measure, and report on key business and customer metrics in collaboration with Data Science and identify areas for continuous testing, experimentation and evolution

  • Evaluate and prioritize product roadmap and backlogs in alignment with product development teams for effective release and sprint planning

  • Facilitate requirements definition across teams to create developer-ready epics, user stories and acceptance criteria while identifying dependencies and relative priority with other product managers

  • Partner with Program Management, Design and Engineering to ensure product ships on time and to quality

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Pricing, Sales, Support, Legal, Security and other cross-functional teams on successful go-to-market and product adoption

Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring

Basic

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technology related area of study (CS, EE, IT, Systems, MIS, etc.)

  • 5+ years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of related experience with a Master's degree

  • Experience in product management for Healthcare & Life Sciences focused products

  • Experience with Healthcare & Life Sciences ecosystems e.g. EPIC, Cerner, Veeva, etc

  • Experience building and gaining buy-in of business cases for new product capabilities/innovations

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams

  • Experience in delivering product using iterative or Agile methodologies (e.g. SCRUM)

Preferred

  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Informatics

  • Demonstrated success managing large scale technology products including new, existing, or legacy products tailored to the needs of Healthcare & Life Sciences

  • Strong customer focus through qualitative and quantitative measures

  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment, prioritize your work and handle your own time

  • Excellent executive presence, verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills and productivity

  • Experience building and using telemetry to review site performance and make data-driven decisions

Wage Transparency

Pay for this position is based on a number of factors including geographic location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

California: $132,700.00 - $206,800.00 base salary

Washington, Maryland, New Jersey and New York (including NYC metro area): $126,500.00 - $182,500.00 base salary

This role is also eligible for the following:

  • Bonus: Sales personnel are eligible for variable incentive pay dependent on their achievement of pre-established sales goals. Non-Sales roles are eligible for a company bonus plan, which is calculated as a percentage of eligible wages and dependent on company performance.
  • Stock: This role is eligible to receive Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
