Sprung Studios is seeking a highly motivated UX/UI Designer to join our team!

The UX/UI Designer will collaborate closely with the rest of the team to deliver the optimal user experience for gamers worldwide. The UX/UI designer will produce wireframes and prototypes, create ergonomic and better interfaces, and design new UIs for video games from scratch. We would like to hear from you if you have experience in a similar role.

Who we are:

Sprung is a globally recognized partner for the games industry and has worked on some of the biggest games for clients such as EA Games, Microsoft, Activision, Warner Brothers, and many more.

Our Values:

We make Sprung Studios a great home for people who love making games by setting a high bar for diversity and inclusion and fostering a fair, collaborative, high-performing culture.

To get there, we’re driven by a few simple beliefs.

We believe:

  • that people work better when they have a healthy work/life balance (no overtime or crunch)
  • in mental health being a primary focus for our studio
  • that people work better with a mixture of remote and in-person collaboration
  • that teams win together only when they are both diverse and inclusive.
  • in leveraging our strengths, knowing our weaknesses, and being honest about both is the best way to succeed, whether that’s in the office or in a game.
  • that work can be a place where you make lifelong friends, partner with ambitious teammates, and embrace the joy of making games.
  • that these beliefs will help us surface the best ideas, challenge the status quo, and ultimately make better games.

What you’ll do

Responsibilities:

  • As a designer at Sprung Studios, you will be assigned to one of our many exciting game projects.
  • With the support of a Senior UX/UI Designer, you will see the project through from ideation to completion.
  • Tasks include producing flows, wireframes, visual designs, and presentations and working closely with our animators and developers.
  • The candidate will collaborate with a Senior UX/UI Designer to create high-quality, premium UI for games across all platforms.
  • Take complex game mechanics and apply your knowledge of effective interaction design to create creative and effective UX solutions.
  • Produce professional, considered, and annotated documents to showcase your work.
  • With the help of senior staff, the candidates will be expected to present their work and investigations to clients via conference calls.

What You’ll Bring

  • Excellent working knowledge of Figma and Adobe products, including Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Excellent visual design skills, including colour, shape, layout, and typography
  • A strong understanding of how to apply textures, patterns, layer effects, and blend modes to UI assets in a variety of styles, ranging from casual to hardcore gaming
  • Ability to solve UX problems both creatively and using conventional methods
  • Candidates must be able to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Confidence in presenting to clients both in person and via conference calls
  • A strong passion for games on all platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outgoing and innovative, with strong interpersonal skills
  • A desire to learn

Why work at Sprung Studios?

  • Competitive salary
  • Health and Pension matching benefits
  • Diverse work environment
  • Studio-wide Christmas shutdown
  • A positive working environment with fun and friendly team members
  • An excellent work-life balance with a hybrid working style
  • Regular team outings
  • Personal time off benefit

Salary Range: $60,000-$75,000

Please make sure you have game-related material on your portfolio for UX/UI; if you don't have any examples you have worked on, please create game-related UX/UI design work to showcase your skill set.
