Cresta Jobs Information

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Product Designer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Product Designer, you need a strong foundation in user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design, visual communication, and problem-solving, typically supported by a degree in design or a related field. Proficiency with design tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping software is essential, along with familiarity with user research methods. Strong collaboration, empathy, and communication skills help Product Designers gather user feedback and work effectively with cross-functional teams. These skills and qualities are crucial for creating user-centered products that are both functional and visually appealing, ensuring a positive impact on business goals.

How does a Product Designer typically collaborate with engineers and product managers during the development process?

Product Designers work closely with engineers and product managers throughout the development lifecycle. They participate in cross-functional meetings to ensure design feasibility, communicate user needs, and iterate on feedback. Designers often create prototypes and user flows, which are shared with engineers for technical input and with product managers to align on business goals. This collaborative approach ensures that the final product is both user-friendly and technically viable, while also meeting project timelines and objectives.

What are Product Designers?

Product Designers are professionals who create and improve products by focusing on both their functionality and user experience. They work at the intersection of design, technology, and business to develop products that are visually appealing, user-friendly, and meet market needs. Their responsibilities typically include conducting user research, creating prototypes, collaborating with engineers, and iterating designs based on feedback. Product Designers often work on digital products like apps and websites, but their skills can extend to physical products as well.

What is the difference between Product Designer vs UX Designer?

Job description

About the role:

At Cresta, AI Builders are how we put the power of AI directly into our customers' hands. Through these builders, our users can design, configure, test, and deploy AI agents that automate tasks, or AI workflows that augment human agents and make them feel superhuman.

As a Product Designer on AI Builders, you'll design the tools that make this possible. That means owning the end-to-end experience of how customers build, evaluate, and ship AI - navigating the nuanced interplay between agentic and deterministic workflows, and finding the right balance between the two. You'll sit at the intersection of LLM capabilities, CX operations, and workflow design, translating powerful AI primitives into builder experiences that real contact center teams (from developers to business operators)  can adopt and scale with confidence.

Responsibilities:
  • You'll turn the complexity of AI and business logic into builder experiences that feel intuitive and self-serve, for both technical users (developers) and non-technical ones (business operators)
  • You'll pair vibe coding/design with your engineer and designer partners to spin off builder concepts and iterate them into polished, production-ready experiences
  • You'll partner with PMs and tech leads to define problem spaces, northstar experiences, and iterative milestones
  • You'll run discovery and evaluative research with our users - interviews, workflow walkthroughs, usability tests, and competitive analysis, to understand how they work today and where AI can meaningfully help.
  • You'll collaborate closely with PMs, MLEs, FDE/FDPMs, Customer Success, and Marketing teams across the organization.
  • You'll advocate for craft - raise the quality bar and help the team develop a shared eye for what great looks like
  • You'll have good judgment of when to ship: perfect is the enemy of good
Qualifications We Value:
  • Education in Design, HCI, Interaction, or 5+ years equivalent industry experience
  • Experience in designing AI-driven workflows, no-code/low-code/agentic builders, or complex B2B enterprise applications
  • AI-native working style: comfortable using Claude Code, Cursor, MCP, or similar tools to move faster, prototype deeper, and push beyond what traditional design tooling (Figma) allows
  • Portfolio showcasing simple and elegant design solutions to complex problems, with a focus on endtoend flows rather than isolated screens
  • Strong product thinking + a blend of UX disciplines (interaction design, prototyping, visual design, and user research)
  • Curious, adaptable, and a quick learner who thrives in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Perks & Benefits:

We offer a comprehensive and people-first benefits package to support you at work and in life:

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage with plans to fit you and your family
  • Flexible PTO to take the time you need, when you need it
  • Paid parental leave for all new parents welcoming a new child
  • Retirement savings plan to help you plan for the future
  • Remote work setup budget to help you create a productive home office
  • Monthly wellness and communication stipend to keep you connected and balanced
  • In-office meal program and commuter benefits provided for onsite employees

Compensation at Cresta:

Cresta's approach to compensation is simple: recognize impact, reward excellence, and invest in our people. We offer competitive, location-based pay that reflects the market and what each individual brings to the table.

The posted base salary range represents what we expect to pay for this role in a given location. Final offers are shaped by factors like experience, skills, education, and geography. In addition to base pay, total compensation includes equity and a comprehensive benefits package for you and your family.

Salary Range: $150,000-$205,000 + Offers Equity
