Job description

Lead Full-Stack Software Engineer
.NET or Python back-end; React front-end
Dallas, TX (3 days onsite, 2 days work from home)
Summary/What you'll be doing
We're looking for a Lead Full-Stack Software Engineer to support existing applications, and build new applications with a Python or .NET backend, and ReactJS frontend in an enterprise environment.
This position will start off as a team of 1, that will grow over time, where you'll eventually be leading a team. But to start, we need someone that can dive in and lead software development projects from soup to nuts: working with stakeholders to understand requirements, building full-stack software from the ground up and deploying these applications to Azure or AWS – we're a multi-cloud environment.
You'll have an opportunity to build event-driven, serverless, microservice-based, and scalable solutions in the cloud (AWS or Azure), using a modern technology stack.
Skills we're seeking
  • 7+ years of experience with Software Engineering
  • Must have strong backend skills with either .NET or Python (Django/Flask)
  • Must have strong front-end skill with ReactJS
  • Experience developing, hosting and supporting REST APIs
  • Must have strong experience with cloud-native software development either on Azure or AWS
  • Must be willing to travel 10% of the time to Chicago (probably not more than once per quarter in most cases)

Nice to haves
  • Experience building serverless (FaaS) workloads on Azure or AWS – Lambda experience would be great
  • DevOps experience
  • Experience with Docker
  • Experience with application monitoring
  • Knowledge of testing methodologies, frameworks, and test-driven development
