    Position Summary
    The Deli Assistant position is part of a team that helps feed over 7000 employees on the corporate campus in Issaquah, WA. Provides prompt, positive and courteous member service, while upholding safety and security procedures. Responsible for preparing hot food products for sale to employees and guests at several Corporate Office locations. This position is Monday - Friday with 8-hour shifts scheduled between the hours of 5:00 am - 5:00 pm. The selected candidate must be able to work rotating shifts and be available all operating hours for the Deli.
    Job Duties/Essential Functions
    • Prepares and packages hot and cold food products for sale to employees and guests at several Corporate Office locations.
    • Prepares hot food using a variety of industrial kitchen equipment to heat, sauté, fry, bake and broil.
    • Monitors finished product to see that department consistency and quality standards are met.
    • Stocks supplies and ingredients.
    • Participates in period inventory counts.
    • Maintains a clean work area.
    • Cleans and sanitizes department and equipment.
    • Operates cash registers and provides prompt and courteous service to employees.
    • Follows Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) guidelines.
    • Rotates to all work locations and all tasks based on department demands
    • Regular and reliable workplace attendance at your assigned location.

    Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery
    • Soup pot, tilt skillet, stove top, grill, flat-top grill, broiler, deep fryer, ovens, refrigerated tables, reach in and walk in cooler and freezer, blast chiller, ice machine, hot box, hot display, hot pass-through window, steam table, heat lamp, commercial meat slicer, chopper, mixer, food processor, can opener, pizza oven, knives, metal chain mail gloves, kitchen utensils, cash register, and calculator

    Non-Essential Functions
    • Assists in other areas of the department as necessary.
    • Assists in other areas of the company as necessary.

    Ability to operate vehicles, equipment or machinery
    • Same as Essential Functions.

    Experience, Skills, Education & Licenses/Certifications
    Required:
    • Approachable, friendly, customer service-oriented personality.
    • Able to work with all levels of employees, supervisors and managers.
    • Flexibility to deal with multiple responsibilities and projects.
    Recommended:
    • Mechanical aptitude and/or working knowledge of a functioning Kitchen and or Catering standards and processes a plus, but not required
    • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
