MANTECH seeks a motivated, career- and customer-oriented Technical Writer to join our AWS team in Annapolis Junction, MD.

Our team delivers enterprise infrastructure capabilities for a global workforce performing a wide range of missions in defense of our Nation. This effort supports the Enterprise Infrastructure Services (EIS) organization, which oversees MPO's Enterprise Information Technology (EIT)-the backbone platform for all enterprise users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing, organizing, and maintaining operations documentation, user guides, training manuals, and technical publications. Maintain a current internal documentation library for an AWS cross functional team.
  • Apply basic grammar and technical writing concepts to author clear, structured copy based on engineering drawings, technical documents, and consultations with engineers/SMEs.
  • Prepare clear reports, responses, customer communications, briefings, and presentations targeted to a wide range of audiences.
  • Partner directly with developers, engineers, and system owners to gather technical information and produce quality documentation, analytic tradecraft methodologies, and end-user training materials.
  • Assisting the operational project lead with daily functions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • 6 years of technical writing experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
  • 4 additional years of technical writing experience (10 years total) may be substituted for a bachelor's degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience utilizing collaboration platforms such as Atlassian Confluence and JIRA for task management and documentation workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience in generating customer communications and stakeholder briefings.
  • Experience producing technical documentation specifically for Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for cloud environments.
  • Experience gathering technical information, interpreting engineering/maintenance drawings, and blending large quantities of complex technical data.
  • Experience working in an agile environment

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph

Physical Requirements:

  • The candidate must be able to move, carry, and deliver workstations from the office to customer desks
  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time
  • Must communicate with co-workers, management, and customers via email, phone, or virtual meetings, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $119,900.00-$199,600.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.  In addition, MANTECH invests in its employees beyond just compensation.  MANTECH's benefits offerings include, dependent upon position, Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, Holiday Pay, short-term and long-term Disability, Retirement and Savings, Learning and Development opportunities, wellness programs as well as other optional benefit elections.
