What We Are Looking Forย

We are seeking a senior-level Project Manager whoย operatesย as a strategic business leader with full accountability for end-to-end delivery of large-scale horizontal construction and disaster recovery projects. This role goes beyond execution, requiring ownership from project initiation and mobilization through financial closeout, ensuring successful outcomes across operations, financial performance, client satisfaction, and risk management.ย

The ideal candidate brings deepย expertiseย in construction (e.g., site work, infrastructure, debris management, environmental and civil projects) and a proven ability to manage complex, multi-site programs concurrently. This individual will lead Superintendents and cross-functional teams whileย maintainingย direct accountability for project P&L, forecasting accuracy, and margin performance.ย

This is a high-impact leadership role requiring the ability toย operateย at both the executive and field levelsโ€”translating contract requirements into actionable plans, influencing stakeholders, and driving results in dynamic, high-pressure environments.ย

What You Will Doย

  • Lead full lifecycle project delivery from pre-construction planning and mobilization through execution and closeoutย

  • Oversee large-scale construction and disaster recovery projects, ensuring alignment across scope, schedule, and costย

  • Manage Blue Roof operations during disaster response, overseeing high-volume production, subcontractor crews, safety, cost control, and compliance with USACE/FEMA requirements

  • Lead logistics and readiness planning for Blue Roof programs, including materials staging, vendor coordination, and rapid deployment across complex environments (CONUS and island operations)

  • Maintain full P&L ownership, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and margin optimizationย

  • Develop and execute detailed project execution strategies, schedules, and resource plansย

  • Lead, mentor, and hold accountable Superintendents and field leadership teams across multiple concurrent projectsย

  • Serve as the primary client interface, including government agencies, ensuring performance, reporting, and relationship managementย

  • Drive financial discipline and reporting, partnering closely with finance to ensure accuracy and accountabilityย

  • Ensure compliance with contract terms, FEMA guidelines, regulatory requirements, and safety standardsย ย ย

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks across operational, financial, and contractual dimensionsย ย

  • Oversee subcontractor strategy, negotiations, and performance managementย ย

  • Analyze production data and KPIs to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiencyย ย

  • Lead project closeout activities, including financial reconciliation, lessons learned, and performance evaluationย

Required Qualificationsย

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field (required)ย

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in construction, infrastructure, disaster recovery, or related industriesย

  • 5+ years leading large-scale projects and managing multiple teams (including Superintendents or equivalent leaders)ย

  • Proven experience managing construction or civil/infrastructure projectsย

  • Demonstrated success with full P&L ownership, including budgeting, forecasting, and margin accountabilityย

  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influenceย at executive,ย client, and field levelsย

  • Experience managing government contracts and regulatory compliance (FEMA, USACE, or similar)ย

  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously in fast-paced, high-pressure environmentsย

  • Strong financial acumen and data-driven decision-making capabilityย

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skillsย

  • Willingness to travel extensively and deploy on short noticeย

Preferred Qualificationsย

  • PMP certification or equivalentย

  • Experience in large-scale disaster response and recovery operationsย

  • Experience supporting or managing Blue Roof (USACE) or similar federally funded emergency response programs

  • OSHA 30, HAZWOPER, or other safety certificationsย

  • Experience managing multi-million to billion-dollar programs or portfoliosย

Physical Requirements and Environmentย

โ€ข Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodationย

โ€ข Ability to work in adverse weather and field conditions, including extreme environmentsย

โ€ข Willingness toย wear required PPE at all timesย when on-siteย

What to Expectย ย ย

This is a senior leadership role with full accountability for end-to-end project delivery, including execution, client satisfaction, and financial performance. You will lead large-scale construction and disaster recovery projects,ย managingย multiple teams and sites whileย maintainingย ownership of P&L, schedule, and outcomes.ย ย

Expect a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with extensive travel and field time, especially during active deployments. Success requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and the ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution.ย ย

This role is best suited for a business-minded leader who takes ownership, makes decisive calls, and drives results across complex projects.ย

Work Authorizationย

Applicants mustย be authorized toย work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will beย requiredย at the time ofย hire. Ceresย doesย not sponsor employment-based visas for this position unlessย statedย otherwise.ย
