Job Summary

The Principal Advisory Consultant - ServiceNow (CMA) provides executive-level architectural leadership across transformation programs, aligning business strategy, enterprise architecture, governance, delivery teams, and executive stakeholders around a unified implementation vision. This role partners with the sales account team and works directly with CDW clients to build trusted advisor relationships, understand business challenges, and recommendServiceNow-based solutions that drive client business outcomes.

What You Will Do

  • Partners with the sales account team andworksdirectly with CDW clients. The role builds trusted advisor relationships with executive-level clients, understands a client's business challenges, and proposesServiceNow-based solutions resulting in client business outcomes.

  • Client-facing work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Researching current andemergingtechnologies, evaluating alternatives, making recommendations, andpresenting toexecutive-level leadership.

  • Performing business outcome assessments across multiple information system architectures.

  • Prepares white papers and presentations for current and prospective clients onServiceNow-based solutions.

  • Presents inCDW and Industry forums to elevate theperceptionof CDW as an Advisory Services and Business Technology Consulting firm.

  • Collaborates with CDW Practices and business partners to create high-level designs and architectures that achieve defined client business outcomes. Creates and documents architectures that address client business vision and coordinates assembly of client proposals and statements of work (SOW) for Advisory Services, Professional Services, and Managed services, which can be used to ensure a smooth transition from presales to delivery.

  • Identifiesand articulates aServiceNowsolution client business value proposition, including return on investment (ROI) and time to value (TTV).

  • Is aware of essential program management and organizational change management principles and can articulate them to both CDS sales team members and clients.

  • Sales Planning - Works with management and sales teams to develop account prioritization and support strategies to ensurea long-term trusted relationship status. Manages a pipeline for advisory services and professional services.

  • Partner Relationship Management - Develops healthy and trusted relationships with key partners in their assigned area of responsibility (AOR).

  • Billable Consulting - Develops and delivers a personal book of business for billable advisory services (AS), usually in a program oversight capacity.

  • Training - Maintains and executes a professional development plan to enhance skills.

  • Is a mentor to ITS coworkers in applying consulting skills, experience, and knowledge for project design, analysis, and project coordination of services or products.

  • Administrative Overhead - Responds to emails and phone calls, completes timecards and expense reports promptly, and completes client and AOR business reviews, asrequired.

What We Expect of You

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, information technology, engineering, mathematics, or a related technology field from an accredited institution and 10+ years of consulting experience OR 14+ years ofequivalentconsultingexperience.

  • ServiceNow Certified Master Architectcertificationrequired.

  • Multiple global implementations.

  • Extensive experience partnering with executive-level clients and stakeholders.

  • Ability to apply deep technicalexpertiseto business strategy through the development of service offerings, go-to-market strategies, business planning, and the growth of advisory, professional, and managed services practices.

  • Expertise inenterprise architecture, platform strategy, governance frameworks, and roadmap development to drive business and technology outcomes.

  • Proven success leading strategic business consulting engagements and enterprise transformation initiatives.

  • Trackrecord ofdriving sales activities, sequencing client engagements and deliverables to value-sell solutions,buildtrusted advisor relationships, andimproveproduct and service margins.

  • Ability to communicate technical and strategic concepts effectively to diverse audiences, including executives, business leaders, and technical teams.

  • Strong judgment and analytical skills with the ability to assess technical, operational, and business risks and make sound recommendations.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience developing and executing long-range project plans, strategic roadmaps, and delivery schedules for complex initiatives and emerging solution offerings.

  • Extensiveexpertisein multiple areas including ITSM, CSM, and source-to-pay, with the ability to lead workshops, engage C-level executives, and inspire developers.

  • Capability to lead technical knowledge transfer, mentoring, and enablement activities for clients and internal teams.

  • Strong leadership, delegation, team development, and personnel management skills.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with experience presenting to audiences ranging from small teams to executive leadership.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while influencing cross-functional teams and key stakeholders.

  • Expertisein technical writing, including architectural designs, strategic recommendations, governance frameworks, and executive-level documentation.

Pay range: $168,000 - $240,000 depending on experience and skill set

Annual bonus target of % subject to terms and conditions of plan
