This position covers both Spring and Livingston.


As the Director of Operations at Carter Healthcare, you are the direct point of contact for your local office employees. The DOO provides leadership and direction for the effective and efficient management of the total healthcare operations and delivery of multi-service home health agency services, strategic planning, development and attainment of organizational goals and objectives for the designated area.

Skillsets/Qualifications should include but are not limited to:

  • Valid RN license in the state of practice
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Wound care/wound vacs
  • Straight and Foley catheter maintenance
  • IV Therapy
  • PICC line care/PEG tube care
  • Reports directly to the Organization's COO and works closely with members of the medical and professional staff
  • Is aware of home health activities in the community, and remains current in healthcare matters
  • Implements the corporate vision for the full complement of services offered (Medicare, private insurance, and private pay) beneficiaries, maintains that vision and articulates it in all program development and evaluation activities
  • Applies problem identification and resolution skills that encompass the larger dynamics in planning and problem solving
  • Creates a structure that best meets the needs of the organization, particularly as it relates to the supervision and assignment of staff
  • Has a keen awareness of market-related activities which includes knowledge of the activities of other providers, the needs of the local players, and the political climate as it relates to home health care
  • Is responsible for setting and achieving goals related to census, staff productivity, and meeting financial markers


This position requires a high level of discipline with minimal supervision and requires excellent organization and time-management skills.
