Job Summary

In cooperation with, and on behalf of the IT Director, the IT Project Manager/Senior Business Systems Analyst will provide project management as needed on a variety of IT-lead projects, both internal to IT as well as those involving other areas and teams. This role is effectively an internal resource to apply project management best practices “as-a-service” on various projects.

This position may also provide direction, definition, training, documentation, and leadership on various compliance subjects as needed, such as Sarbanes Oxley, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other Privacy topics such as Payment Card Industry (PCI).

This position will work primarily in unison with both the Business Systems and IT Operations teams. Additionally, this position will act as Subject Matter Expert for project management (PMO) best practices, systems development approaches/practices, Master Data Management and lead efforts to identify and solve data consistency and integrity issues.  This position may also define and communicate polices and data constraints, and define and lead any applicable Master Data initiatives.

  • Work with IT leadership and key stakeholders to develop, document and communicate project plans
  • Facilitate and attend project meetings, tracking dialog and action items
  • Provide project reporting and updates to the associated project teams and BioLegend leadership
  • At times lead entire projects
  • Act as Subject Matter Expert for PMO best practices, IT compliance and act as internal resource on privacy as it relates to cyber-privacy
  • Define, develop, and document compliance and privacy policies and procedures
  • Assist the IT Applications and Operations teams to define and document applications and infrastructure systems test plans and, in general, strive to mitigate risks in support of the IT Software Development Lifecycle change management process
  • Monitor and ensure appropriate and sufficient evidentiary documentation for change management, compliance, and privacy processes within IT and enforce best practices
  • Act as primary IT point-of-contact with internal and external audit teams on compliance, IT general controls and privacy inquiries and audits
  • Provide data modelling and application architecture expertise for other project resources
  • Map various master data across various system ecosystems
  • Analyze data integrity issues and concerns
  • Lead efforts to define and educate to ensure consistently applied project management and master data principles and practices
  • Facilitate discussions and consensus building across different users, departments, and business units to identify the best overall approach to problems and opportunities
  • Demonstrate an ability to multi-task in high-pressure situations
  • Supervise and mentor other project resources and staff
  • Other projects or responsibilities, as may be required.

Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience

  • Bachelors in Computer Science or closely related field
  • 5+ years of Business Systems Analysis, Project Management and Development experience related to ERP, Ecommerce, and CRM in a commercial business environment
  • Significant project management experience on multiple large-scale projects
  • Sarbanes Oxley IT General Controls implementation experience
  • GDPR or similar privacy policy implementation experience
  • Master Data Management experience
  • Business Intelligence experience

Preferred Qualifications – Education and Experience

  • Current Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or equivalent
  • PCI implementation experience
  • Cybersecurity expertise
  • IT leadership experience
  • Enterprise application development and data modelling experience
  • Experience with eQMS, Contract Management and Project Portfolio Management (Clarity) would be a plus.
  • Strong Biology knowledge/ expertise/ education
