TheOvernight Security Office /Night Auditoris responsible forperforming close of day reports, and audits for the hotel Front Office. This position will account for daily activity by organizing and verifying information; identifying and correcting discrepancies; posting accounts and running and distributing daily reports. The Night Auditor will also function as the primary contact for guests upon arrival and departure between the hours of 11 PM and 7 AM, by greeting guests at the Front Desk and processing check-in and check-out transactions.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education:
Bachelor's degree, preferably specializing in Hospitality, Business Administration, Accounting and or related major or equivalentexperience,is preferred.
Experience:
Must have at least one (2) or more years of related guest experience, with experience in Hospitality preferred.Previousexperience in Night Audit is preferred.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities for theOvernight Security Office /Night Auditor include, but are not limited to:
Night Auditor Shifts
Greet guestsimmediatelywith a friendly and sincere welcome.
Complete the registration process by inputting and retrieving information with routine efficiency from the computer system, confirming pertinent information, including number of guest rooms and room rate.
Follow all specified procedures to audit the shift closing of all Front Office staff.
Produceaccurateandtimelyreports and correctly handle all cash transactions.
Maintain and post a daily balance of all house accounts, including running preliminary reconciliations, detail transactions and final reports walked to accounting.
Reconcile cashier's reports with the restaurant system each night, researching and posting any unresolved tickets from the day shift.
Balance and audit for accuracy,including;room revenue, food and beverage revenue,cashierreports,guest and house accounts and telephone revenue;assistingthe preparation of all reports.
Complete andtransmitdaily Management and Accounting reports and supporting documents.
Perform all other Front Desk duties, which mayincludeassistingin booking room reservations, answering hotel phone calls, wake up calls, and providingguestmessages.
Overnight Security Shifts
Conducting routine patrols and checkpoints of the property
Completion of shift observations logs
Handling all conflicts with a de-escalation first approach
Investigating and responding to emergency situations such as fire alarms, noise complaints, guest/associate injury, and other escalated situations and making note of times, names, observations for reporting purposes
Properly escalating all situations that meet the criteria for the15 MinuteRule.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
In addition to performance of key responsibilities, this position may berequiredtopossessa combination of the following skills and experiences:
Experience in property management software, such as LightSpeed and Micros, is preferred.
Strong organizational and analytical skills, along withdemonstratedability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced work environment.
Demonstrated ability to work cohesively with a team, as well as independently.
Ability to exercise sound logic and judgment in evaluating situations andutilizingappropriate resources.
Must be self-directed,motivated,anddemonstrateexceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
Ability to communicate effectively in the English language, both verbally and in writing. A second language is desirable.
Must have experience in all Microsoft Office suite products.
