About the Role:

The Group Business Development Associate is a sales position within the Sales & Catering Department at The Resort at Glade Springs. This role is designed to support the Resort’s group sales efforts by assisting in the development, solicitation, and coordination of group business across key market segments.

This position provides foundational training in resort sales and event coordination. The Group Business Development Associate will gain experience in prospecting, client relationship development, group event detailing, event execution and internal coordination with operational departments.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • Interest in hospitality sales, event planning, or resort operations
  • Experience in business development, sales, or a related role.
  • Strong understanding of business development principles and sales processes.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends and travel as needed.
  • Professional demeanor with strong customer service orientation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • Experience working in hospitality, tourism or event coordination
  • Knowledge of group travel, conferences, or recreational group markets
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and market research methodologies.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Knowledge of the United States market and regulatory environment.
