Position: Salesforce Developer
Location: Columbus, OH (Onsite)
Duration: Long term contract
Rate: $45/hr on W2

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Salesforce Senior Administrator/Developer to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be a certified professional with a strong background in Salesforce development, administration, and best practices. This individual will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving critical issues within our existing Salesforce application, as well as establishing and enforcing development and deployment standards to ensure the long-term health and scalability of our Salesforce environment. This role will also be responsible for mentoring our current Salesforce developer and guiding them to follow established standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for our Salesforce application, providing advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving to resolve complex issues quickly and effectively.
  • Conduct a comprehensive review of the current Salesforce application to identify root causes of existing issues and recommend solutions.
  • Establish and document clear, comprehensive development and deployment standards, including but not limited to:
  • Code review and quality assurance guidelines
  • Naming conventions for custom objects, fields, and code
  • Security and data access best practices
  • Develop and implement solutions using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and other Salesforce technologies.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for all development and administrative processes.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to the junior Salesforce developer, fostering a culture of continuous learning and adherence to best practices.
  • Work collaboratively with business stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality, scalable applications.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Salesforce releases, features, and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Salesforce Administrator or Developer.
  • Must possess active Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Platform Developer I/II, Application Architect).
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve complex issues in a production environment.
  • Expertise in Salesforce development technologies, including Apex, Visualforce, and LWC.
  • In-depth knowledge of Salesforce administration, including security models, data management, and user management.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and mentoring skills.


Preferred:

  • Experience with Salesforce DevOps tools (e.g., Salesforce DX, Copado, Gearset).
  • Experience in a small IT team environment.
  • Salesforce Application Architect or System Architect certification.
