The Senior Copywriter Social Media prepares copy, headlines, and content that clearly and cleverly delivers JetBlue’s product and brand messages in the appropriate voice and tone for JetBlue social media channels. The Senior Copywriter Social Media will take an active role on social media team working closely with peers to ideate and create content, they will also work closely with other teams within marketing, brand, customer service, and corporate communications to support the creation of social media content to align with company goals.

  • Create on-brand and channel-specific copy for a wide range of social media channels including but not limited to LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, and TikTok including creative copy, captions, and comments
  • Support social media team with proof-reading and copy-editing posts and comments as needed
  • Ensure all posts meet brand and social copy guidelines and align with overall JetBlue brand and tone as well as social trends and norms
  • Develop and maintain social media copy guidelines and standards in coordination with brand team to ensure fit under brand copy and voice guidelines
  • Actively participate in social media team meetings, content ideation sessions, and content capture
  • Manage their own projects and timelines to ensure social media content is completed in a timely manner
  • Maintain knowledge of current social media trends and in-platform features and functionalities
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or English; OR demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a combination of a High School Diploma/GED and at least four (4) years of previous relevant work experience
  • Three (3) years of copywriting experience in a corporate marketing environment for social media
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite, experience with social media platforms including channel and scheduling tools
  • Candidates must demonstrate skills in a work sample assessment.
  • Understanding of current social media platforms including features and functionality, social media copy norms and themes, and up-and-coming trends
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to be flexible, multi-task, prioritize, and manage multiple activities simultaneously in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Must possess a strong sense of urgency and be able to effectively manage deadlines
  • Strong team player with the ability to take initiative and work well independently
  • High attention to detail with the ability to think critically
  • Strong interpersonal skills, amicable and professional demeanor
  • Effective written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Available for occasional overnight travel (10%)
  • Able to work flexible hours and be available for an emergency response on short notice
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located

Compensation
  • The base pay range for this position is between $88,000.00 and $132,000.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
