What it's like to be a Steel Welder at Steel Welder

As a Steel Welder at Kinsley Steel you will be responsible for welding structural steel parts according to detailed drawings and marked-up weld symbols. Your attention to detail and precision will ensure that the structural components are welded correctly, meeting the highest quality standards. Safety is a top priority, and you will be expected to operate overhead cranes, air arc, grinders, magnetic drills, and other tools of the trade safely and efficiently. Requirements for this Steel Welder job

To be successful in the role of Steel Welder at Kinsley Steel, candidates should possess the following skills and qualifications.

  • A successful candidate must be able to pass a 3G weld test with 1/16th flux core wire and have applicable experience with D1.1 codes and 2G/3G experience.
  • 3 years experience operating overhead cranes.
  • Have a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to interpret fabrication and construction drawings.
  • Must be flexible to work any schedule needed including overtime and Saturdays as needed.
