Valley Health Health & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated and passionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in Austin, Texas. Work Environment

This role offers a remote work setting with the flexibility to connect with clients through virtual platforms while effectively managing your schedule. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized mindfulness-based therapy, employing techniques such as Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) to assist clients in managing stress and anxiety.
  • Conduct thorough initial assessments to identify clients' mental health challenges, ensuring tailored mindfulness practices are designed to meet their unique needs.
  • Lead mindfulness exercises and meditation sessions, equipping clients with practical tools for emotional regulation and self-awareness.
  • Facilitate group workshops on topics such as stress management, resilience, and holistic wellness, promoting community support among participants.
  • Integrate mindfulness practices into routine individual therapy sessions to enhance treatment outcomes and foster personal growth.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other therapists and healthcare providers, to create coordinated care plans that incorporate mindfulness theories and practices.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and mindfulness interventions in compliance with clinic policies.
  • Engage in continuous self-care and personal mindfulness practices, along with ongoing professional learning, to refine your skills and expand your expertise in MBSR.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be individuals experiencing stress, anxiety, and other mental health challenges who are seeking to improve their overall well-being. We serve a diverse clientele from various backgrounds, ensuring our services are inclusive and culturally sensitive. Your role is pivotal in creating a therapeutic space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to pursue their mental health goals.

Qualifications
  • Current license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Strong understanding of mental health theories and mindfulness practices.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with an ability to foster a supportive therapeutic environment.
Preferred Experience
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology is preferred.
  • Experience with mindfulness-based approaches such as MBSR is highly regarded, but not mandatory.
  • A demonstrated ability to create and implement mindfulness programs or workshops.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from USD 80,000 to 104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and education. In addition, we offer a competitive benefits package that includes:
