Job description

Company Overview:
At High Caliber Organics Inc., our mission is to pioneer innovative, indoor cannabis cultivation with a relentless commitment to cleanliness, sterility, safety, and quality. We are dedicated to delivering premium products that reflect our dedication to excellence and environmental responsibility. We are looking for individuals who share our passion for clean, safe, and innovative cannabis products to join our team.
Role Overview:
The IPM (Integrated Pest Management) Technician is a key player in ensuring the health and safety of our plants across the entire cultivation facility, including grow rooms, Veg/Nursery, and post-harvest areas. This role requires a keen eye for detail, precision in execution, and the ability to work across various cultivation environments. The IPM Technician will be responsible for executing pest management protocols, identifying and addressing pest and disease issues, and ensuring compliance with IPM standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Facility-Wide IPM Execution: Implement and monitor IPM protocols consistently across all areas of the facility, ensuring the effective application of treatments and prevention strategies.
  • Pest and Disease Identification: Regularly inspect plants and cultivation environments, document findings, and take action based on established IPM protocols.
  • Chemical and Biological Applications: Safely prepare and apply pesticides, beneficial insects, and biological control agents as required by the IPM plan, adhering to all state regulations and company policies.
  • Scouting and Monitoring: Conduct regular scouting in all areas, monitor pest populations, and record data on pest activity and treatment efficacy.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all pest management activities, including treatments applied, areas covered, and results observed. Provide regular reports to management.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cultivation teams to ensure IPM protocols are followed and pest issues are addressed promptly.
  • Compliance with Safety Protocols: Adhere to all PPE requirements, chemical handling procedures, and sanitation protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Compliance with Agricultural Regulations: Due to regulations set by the San Bernardino County Agricultural Commissioner, IPM Technicians must wear sealed face masks during chemical applications, requiring employees in this role to maintain a clean-shaven face for a proper mask fit. Routine physical exams may also be required.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Familiarity with IPM practices, pest identification, and pesticide applications.
  • Adherence to PPE requirements, including lab coats (if required), coveralls, masks, and gloves.
  • Ability to successfully pass a drug test and physical examination.
  • Completion of a basic general education test focused on nutrient measuring, comprehension, and basic measurements (feet and inches) required for assessing plant height.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
  • Comfortable working in uniform (if required) in environments ranging from 60-90 degrees with 50% to 80% humidity for extended periods, while wearing appropriate PPE.
  • Capable of lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable working at heights on ladders 10 to 15 feet for extended periods.
  • Able to work under bright lights and around water and irrigation systems, occasionally getting wet.
  • Compliance with mask and glove requirements in designated areas.
Why Join Us?
At High Caliber Organics Inc., we are committed to:
  • Quality Assurance: Delivering a consistently high-quality cannabis product that meets or exceeds industry standards.
  • Environmental Responsibility: Minimizing our ecological footprint through sustainable cultivation methods and eco-friendly technologies.
  • Community Impact: Positively impacting the communities we serve through partnerships, local initiatives, and responsible practices.
If youโ€™re passionate about cultivating a future where excellence and responsibility go hand in hand, we invite you to apply.
Application Process: Please submit your resume and any relevant qualifications. Selected candidates will be required to complete a general education test as part of the interview process.
