POSITION SUMMARY:

Provide technical and sales support to Birkeys employees and customers regarding technologies of the present and future such as: combine yield monitors & global positioning systems, light bar & auto guidance systems, sprayer application systems, and planter GPS application systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING. Other duties may be assigned from time to time:
  • Provide sales support to the Ag locations on product knowledge relative to the software & hardware on combines, planters, tractors, & sprayers electronic monitoring and application systems.
  • Assist developing and implementing a marketing program that will promote related key services.
  • Provide education to our sales staff regarding agronomic advantages.
  • Communicate manufacturer updates to sales staff.
  • Conduct product meetings with customers and sales personnel.
  • Complete product demonstrations, and equipment deliveries whenever necessary.
  • Call on customers and sell companys products and services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key crop protection retailers & wholesalers to better service their related product needs.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities to provide and keep a safe environment for all customers and employees.
  • Keep current on product knowledge, features, and benefits of all products.
  • Maintain updated manuals and materials.
  • Provide activity reporting as directed.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to company safety program at all times.

QualificationsQUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education/Experience:

Individual should have an Associates degree or its equivalent. Should be able to set work priorities and work independently in the absence of supervision and be able to understand and carryout oral and written directions. Must have the ability to maintain high degree of motivation in team members to retain focus of providing highest level of customer satisfaction.

The individual should have 2 4 years of related experience, steady work record, and must be able to perform each of the essential position functions.

Physical Requirements:
  • The employee would normally lift or move up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lifts or moves up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to tolerate up and down movement with bending or stooping including reaching above and below shoulder height with arms and hands.
  • Ability to be on ones feet for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to operate equipment or other power equipment as necessary.
