We also make powerful industrial refrigeration systems for food warehousing, pharmaceuticals, and even ice rinks!

Our company is structured across 2 divisions – the Display Case Division, located in North Prairie, WI, Waukesha, WI, and Mukwonago, WI and the Refrigeration Systems Division, located in Ramsey, MN and Dyersville, IA.

What Will You Do?

Under the direction of the FST Training Supervisor, the FST Apprentice undergoes specialized instruction in the theory and practical application of Zero Zone refrigeration systems, as well as the reporting methods and customer support standards required to transition into a Zero Zone Field Support Technician (FST).  Once trained, the FST provides guidance to contractors and collaborates closely with Zero Zone Installation Coordinators, Account Coordinators, customer project managers, general contractors and other trades throughout the refrigeration equipment installation process to meet timelines and resolve project and equipment issues in a timely and efficient manner.

Essential Responsibilities:

    • Participate in all classroom, lab, and practical training sessions to master Zero Zone refrigeration theory and equipment operation
    • Accompany experienced Field Support Technicians (FSTs) to job sites to conduct warranty service inspections and provide system startup oversight.
    • Learn to accurately complete service reports, expense logs, and site checklists in accordance with Zero Zone standards
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Requirements for Effective Performance:

    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent; a mechanical or technical background is suggested
    • No prior training in HVAC/R is required; must have a strong willingness to learn proprietary systems from the ground up
    • Must be able and willing to travel to various locations for both centralized training and on-site shadowing (approximately 50%)
    • A clean driving record is required for operating company or rental vehicles

    Skills/Abilities/Specifications:

    • High level of self-motivation and a strong work ethic
    • Strong organizational skills and a high level of accountability
    • Ability to follow complex instructions and ask clarifying questions during technical training
    • Ability to learn how to read mechanical and electrical schematics and controller interfaces
    • Familiarity with, or the ability to learn, MS Office (Outlook, Excel, and Word)
