Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and service-minded individual to join our team as a House Mentorย / Direct Care Worker. This is not simply a job. It is a ministry-minded lifestyle opportunity focused on mentoring and guiding young men ages 17 to 18 as they transition out of foster care into independent adulthood.

The selected candidate will live on campus or in a residential cabin alongside the young men and help create a stable, supportive, and healthy home environment. This role is ideal for someone who has a heart for mentorship, leadership, and serving others during a critical season of life.

This position requires someone willing to invest personally in the lives of these young men by offering encouragement, accountability, practical guidance, and consistent support.

Responsibilities

  • Create a safe, structured, and positive home atmosphere
  • Build meaningful mentoring relationships with residents
  • Assist young men with life skills and transition planning
  • Help with job searches, applications, and interview preparation
  • Provide transportation to work, school, appointments, or activities as needed
  • Encourage personal responsibility, healthy habits, and goal setting
  • Offer emotional support, guidance, and encouragement
  • Maintain appropriate communication and documentation as required

Qualifications

  • Heart for serving and mentoring young adults
  • Ability to build trust while maintaining healthy boundaries
