POSITION SUMMARY

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including but not limited to providing an excellent guest experience, quality control, personnel management, sanitation, equipment maintenance, health inspections, and inventory management. This role requires an in-depth knowledge of various company and restaurant policies and procedures.

  • Ensures all operating and quality standards are met.

  • Assesses work-related issues in a professional manner and exercises honest, non-biased judgment.
  • Ensures safety and security of both guests and team members.
  • Prior experience in multi-unit operations is strongly preferred.

Job-Specific Duties:

  • Set objectives and targets for staff.
  • Determine staff needs and prepare/approve schedules.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, coaching, counseling, training & development of staff and managers.
  • Set and monitor quality and service standards for staff.
  • Be fluent in health department inspections.
  • Communicate company policy, standards, and procedures to staff.
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of beverages and dishes to meet set standards.
  • Interact with customers to develop loyalty and handle customer concerns.
  • Monitor the cleanliness and hygiene of front-of-house areas and staff.
  • Promote and practice compliance with fire, health, safety, and hygiene standards and regulations.
  • Ensure adherence to cash management procedures.
  • Responsible for daily fiscal management.
  • Ensure adherence to stock control procedures; monitor and order supplies.
  • Strong grasp of food cost, financials, and inventory control.
  • Work with the marketing team to organize promotional activities.
  • Maintain regular communication with restaurant staff and management through meetings and discussions.
  • Work with Human Resources to address disciplinary issues with team members.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to work on your feet for up to 12 hours. Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching overhead, and lifting products and supplies weighing 20 pounds, and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds, as well as repetitive hand and wrist motion.
