Responsibilities

The YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne is seeking a responsible and attentive Maintenance Technician to join our team to assist in the maintenance, improvement, safety, and cleaning operations.

  • Support: Equipment repairs, preventive maintenance tasks, minor plumbing, electrical, and setup/teardown for classes or events.
  • Serve: Have a good mechanical aptitude, a focus on safety, good communication skills, and be comfortable working independently as well as in a team.
  • Care: Ensure a safe and secure environment both within and around the facility.

Requirements

Candidates must be committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne as well as:

  • At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of facility maintenance experience.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and other maintenance-related areas preferred.
  • Must have the ability to communicate well with others.
  • Reliable transportation to attend work.
  • Ability to relate to, welcome and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.

Salary: $13.50 - $14.00 hourly

Hours Available: 1:00pm-6:00pm
