Job description

MOBILE YEARBOOK SALES REPRESENTATIVE SUMMARY

This is an outside sales representative role that sells to and services educational yearbook programs across the United States. You are responsible for daily visits to schools in your assigned territory throughout the work week. This position requires company-paid relocation every 3-12 months depending on the need in our sales territories. Walsworth provides Mobile Sales Reps with a base salary of $45,000 plus opportunities for sales bonuses and commissions as well as company-paid housing and rental vehicle plus gas reimbursement. The ideal candidate for this role is open to temporary relocation, holds a bachelor's degree or will have graduated from a bachelor's degree program by August 2026, has an interest or background in outside sales, yearbooks, journalism, marketing, graphic design, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar skills.

The start date for this role is June 29, 2026 with company-paid, required sales training from June 29 - July 24, 2026.

Starting with an in-depth classroom experience that continues with intensive on-the-job training, ongoing education, mentoring and coaching, you’ll be prepared to successfully handle high-level customer interaction as well as to sell and negotiate new contracts. This is a rare opportunity to work in both a creative and competitive capacity, while constantly facing new challenges and never getting stuck behind a desk.

You’ll work alongside students and teachers, providing advice on journalism and photography, creative guidance, technical assistance and high-level problem solving. Providing hands-on support, you’ll also help each school build and maintain a successful business to support their publication, assisting with everything from marketing and revenue generation to staff motivation and deadline management. While ensuring each school’s yearbook program is successful in all aspects, you’ll also learn and develop high-level sales skills to attract new customers.

This is truly a diverse position, combining leadership and problem solving with business aspects such as sales, marketing, and customer service as well as creative aspects such as photography, journalism, and design. Each day will be different, and you’ll enjoy the flexibility of working autonomously while receiving high-level support and resources to ensure you’re as successful as the effort you put in.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Travel and stay in locations across the U.S. to provide territory coverage as needed
  • Support customers through every aspect of yearbook production
  • Prospect and Sell additional schools on working with Walsworth
  • Teach and engage students while keeping on track with budgets and deadlines
  • Daily travel to schools, both customers and prospects, within the assigned territory
  • Work independently to make daily schedule and run territory
  • Learn company programs and other technology used in the industry, including CRM


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Computer Literacy
  • Ability to work in an active, fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral
  • Competitive, driven with ability to lead and motivate others
  • Experience with yearbook and/or sales is ideal, yet not necessary
  • Ability to establish home office and work independently
  • Valid driver’s license, ability to work in U.S. without sponsorship and pass a background check
