Job Summary:
The Automation Integration Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing advanced automation and integration solutions across manufacturing and distribution operations. This role focuses on system integration, SCADA/MES platforms, robotics, and AGV systems, supporting enterprise-level initiatives and cross-functional automation strategies.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and integrate automation systems across PLC, SCADA, and enterprise platforms
  • Implement and support Ignition-based SCADA/MES solutions
  • Integrate systems using OPC UA, MQTT, SQL, APIs, and related technologies
  • Lead integration of robotics and AGV/AMR systems into plant workflows
  • Configure and support robotic systems (e.g., Yaskawa Motoman / MLX)
  • Support commissioning, validation, and optimization of complex automation systems
  • Collaborate with IT/OT, operations, engineering, and third-party vendors
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise automation standards, cybersecurity, and safety requirements
  • Lead or support multi-site automation and digital transformation initiatives

Required Qualifications:
  • 3 years of relevant experience (a combination of education and experience equivalent to 3 years in a related field will be considered.)
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience with industrial automation and control systems in a manufacturing environment
  • PLC programming experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens)
  • Experience with SCADA systems and system integration concept
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ignition SCADA / MES platform experience
  • Experience with system integration (OPC UA, MQTT, SQL, REST APIs)
  • Experience working with robotics (Yaskawa Motoman / MLX preferred)
  • Experience integrating AGVs/AMRs and material handling systems
  • Knowledge of industrial networking and cybersecurity practices
  • Experience supporting enterprise or multi-site automation projects
